Dang. I would be all over this, but the 11th-17th is the most busy week of the year. Sorry guys, but I'm out.
What field do you work in that the middle of August is your busiest period?
Youth Ministry... we have an entire week devoted to crazy activities every day right before they go back to school.
It is the craziest thing on earth.
Ah, well I bet the teachers appreciate it. I imagine getting the kids to blow their energy before classes start again is immensely helpful for that first week of classes.
EDIT: <-- Taking classes to become an elementary school teacher, I know I would appreciate it.
A. Randomly punish people for no good reason at all.
B. To be a siege weapon against a tough defense for a team lacking in coordination.
A sucks and B is generally unnecessary in any sort of tournament setting.
Just my thoughts.
The purpose of crits is to add a little bit of luck into the game.
The best analogy I've seen is comparing TF2 crits to CS headshots.
Hope that's sarcasm.
CS headshots have approximately zero luck involved once you're playing people with any level of skill whatsoever.
There is luck involved; yes, it takes skill to center the crosshair over the other player's head but that doesn't guarantee a headshot. The bullet doesn't go exactly through the crosshair.
TF2 crits work in an analogous manner, the more damage you're doing (more "skill") the better your chances are of critting.

I can play: Medic and Soldier are my best classes, then everything other than sniper/spy I can play reasonably well.
Which league? I live on the east coast but can play in either.
Mandalore was unaware of such a tournament. Perhaps Mandalore should read the front page more oftttttten.
Editifiction: Okay, doing West coast. Maybe have to have my brother do the tiebreaker for me, if comes to it. If it helps to even teams out, I COULD do east coast. And I obviously play medic, but if for some reason other people REALLY want to be medic, I do soldier/pyro/demoman decently.
(also, I absolutely positively won't be able to play Tuesday night, but all other nights including final are fine. If this means I must be a sub only, I won't mind too much.)

I also heard the west coast sucks weeners. Do you do that too?
Well the players are evening out nicely. So hopefully it won't be a problem.
To everything turn turn, there is a season for burn! burn!

EAST
(well, I used to live in the West, but now I'm in the Midwest)
Spy > Medic > Pyro
I'm probably going to end up being a reserve player as I can only make the Monday game. The rest will be spotty for me.

I really don't understand why the best crit analogy doesn't refer to Role Playing Games.
Crit happens.

I'll join if someone wants me as scout, soldier, medic, or pyro
more scout than anything else.
edit: pay no attention to anything in my stats that's outrageous, because it most likely is.

Medic only.
East only.
Would prefer to just drop me if either are not appreciated, pointless to play other than medic and I can't make the west times.

Classes: Medic, Pyro, Heavy Oh god I love heavy. Or engy.
EAST Way east
what
I always disguise as scout when I play spy, and I usually do really well for myself
why does everyone seem to think it's a bad tactic
also cross my name off, I took some shifts and now I am not available
Actually I think it's a great tactic. Since I always disguise as scout and I do ok.
