Question: Is Warhawk worth the $30 solely for Deathmatch?
Typically I only really dig online games for deathmatch. Not team deathmatch, straight-up deathmatch. The only variant I like to play is when I'm looking out for myself. But when I do, I love it. Call of Duty 4 and Halo 2 and 3 kept me hooked quite a while in this manner.
Even in the team games (CTF and Zone), you can basically play the game like a deathmatch if you like.
Just you know look at what colour team your on and don't shoot those guys too much. 5 tk's equals kicked.
i'm usually totally anti- team stuff and i never use voice, but man warhawk makes playing team games fun. i guess with the capturing of zones and stuff you can work totally independently and still make a big difference to the team's effort, feel like you're useful, and have a blast
Lol why? because i am likely terrible at the game or because people who arent are hard as shit to find. Both of these statements are true by the way.
I haven't played in lik 4 months and i had gotten pretty profiecient with all the modes of transport and weapons. I played again after i DL'd the fallen star pack, and i felt like a goddamn 5 year old dropped in the middle of a pro football game.
I lol'd because you are looking for a clan of people are good. I'm looking for a clan who don't mind people who are bad. Meh...
I think I've actually gotten a handle on the game though. I came 2nd on the winning team on... some map. Once you get a handle on dodging missles the game becomes hella easier. I still need to work on two things, namely air-to-surface and tracking pilots in a dog fight. See, most of my kills come from seeing a guy miles away and then chasing them down with missile strikes. It has worked well though, but I need to work on the 1v1 for sure.
We need to get an organized game going. I can see how this game would be much better with organized team chat with players who aren't pricks.
^ Organized team chatting would rock, but, sadly, I've really never had a game like that. Pretty much everyone one of them are dead silent.
And, yeah, once you get the hang of dodging missiles, using Warhawks isn't too bad. Still, I'm pretty afraid of going into 'em. I'm still a deadman whenever I do, but I've been playing unranked for a few days to catch up on skills, and one of the skills I'm trying to hone a bit more is my flight skills.

Is anyone else having any problems with the playstaion network? I have not been able to buy a thing on it yet because it says "Credit Card information is invalid" when ever I try to buy something or add funds to my wallet even though I have checked the info over and over agian and everything is right, I have also tried a diffrent card, with at least 48 hours in bewtten each try. I would get a playstaion card but im in canada and those are yet to have been released here. Has anyone who had this problem been able to fix it and how so?

You might want to check to see if you have a region conflict. Make certain that the card your trying to use is linked to an adress in the same region that your psn profile is signed up for. For instance I can't buy anything off the japan psn store with my american card.

I had that problem the other day. It was because I had the card in from before it was renewed, so the dates were wrong. Then, when refilling everything out for the card again I kept getting that it wasn't correct. Turns out it didn't want my apartment number for some reason.

I find that I have very little time for gaming at all this semester, due in part to having crazy-long school hours two days of the week and in the sense that I restarted my studying of Japanese (it's part of my English major, ironically enough). And any time that I can devote to games is usually put towards games that I have yet to complete; Tales of Vesperia, GTAIV, and Super Mario RPG, to name a few. Add to this my plans on getting a new job soon, and I find myself with very little time to play Warhawk. But I shall make a dramatic return sometime near the end of this semester!

In other news I've had such a bad week that I got 2 of the secret joke trophies, the one for dieing 5 times in a round to proxies and the one for getting anti-air'd by binoculars. Was doing awsome at zones unfortunatly the rest of my team was rolling over and letting our oponents take back everthing I'd gain for them.

Hmm, perhaps I could show up around 11 EST on Thursday for a few hours; I only have one class on Fridays, and it's at 11:45, so I could spend a few hours playing rather than sleeping. I just need to figure out that damn headset that came with Warhawk, since I got rid of Eye of Judgement plus its camera/mic combo months ago. I should try to eBay that Phantom card, now that I think of it...
hol shit proflight is makin me confused. There was a brief period where i felt like i had it, had three planes on me and was avoiding missiles like mad, but after that every time i went anywhere near a plane i got slaughtered mercilessly, due to the fact i was still trying to get a handle on the controls. I'm sure everyone that killed me in flight was thinking "the hell is this guy doing?"

Whee, jetpacks are fun. Kinda disappointing that you can't use the air strike while using the jetpack, but at least you can use everything else. I especially like that you can bail from a Warhawk while flying as long as you have the jetpack, that's useful if you know a missle's on you. Can the jetpack take damage? I was only playing around in a local game on Tau Crater to check them out, so I didn't have anyone to shoot me.
If anyone wants, I'll be getting on at 11 EST tonight to fool around with the jetpacks. Last I recall, my system could host 20-man games online, so that'll be more than enough. PA_Hawking, password wang as always. I'd be on sooner, but 8-9:30 Japanese. Fun.

Hells yes. Had it for a while. Sending you a friend request. Gotta get our Warhawk on. I just had a hilarious game where my team was totally out-Hawked so I went around with mines trying to fly across the enemies and lay one right in front of them. Got myself a trophy.
JP I may or may not have pruned you off my friends list before the update increased the size to 100(due to rarely being on). I may send you a friend invite after work.
As for the card, no thanks beeb.
Also had fun during destoryed capital zones today, people kept spamming proxies so I started abusing the charged lightning gun. If I didn't already have the Irony trophie I would have gotten it 10 times over.

I require more hands to play Warhawk! Cannot shoot forth death while flying the jetpack, needs too many fingers! I'm not used to using my middle finger to hit the second R trigger.
