If I do not see PA-Hawking when I get on in a half hour (or, in fact, do not see anyone on), I'll make the game. Said I can support 24-man games, so that'll be far more than enough.
That collection game was fun. I still don't really get collection, though. How do you get the 10 pointers and stuff?

I'd never tried collection before so I figured PA night was as good as any.
There was some awesome moments tonight, I had the most fun in Warhawk I've had in awhile. There's something special about dogfighting with people you know.

Yeah it's fantastic when you play with a team working together that know how to play. Unfortunatly most pick up games result in me wanting to stab half the people on my team.
Had a blast tonight got the taxi driver trophie and on my last game with jp I got the trophie for killing a warhawk with the clusterbomb. Ecuadia was the most intense game of the night that 10 point play at the end don't remember who it was but they shot 3 guys on the stairs leading to their base with the tank and I took the 3 cores and booked it for home with out insident. That and just about every second on the bridge was a brutal slugfest for those 2 cores. Great game everyone hope to do this again next week.

Too bad I get home at 10 due to class and had forgotten how to work that stupid headset that comes with the game. Perhaps we could get more in on the weekend, this time with jetpacks? Those things are damn fun.

I got the collection trophy, 2 badges, and a rank up last night, too, so it was a good night for me.
So you can only play on expert servers? I thought that I played this game too much.
Got 4 trophies last night and am only 1k points till I rank up again. Yeah standing in the red teams main base with a flame thrower and a BFG got me the hit list trophie.

I got the "Kill an enemy that is using a jetpack with something other than the rocket launcher" Trophy in a very funny way. I had thrown a proxy mine onto the jetpack station while flying around and accidentally landed it on the top of it, so it wasn't blowing up when people walked near it to get them. But then I happened to see someone just take off as soon as he got a jetpack and instantly blew up.
the training missing really changed how I play now. I was finally able to scrub missiles in multi player today. god I wish they had this from the beginning!
I'm going to be out of town Wednesday and Thursday, but PA Warhawk night is still on for those interested. I'd like to make Thursday our "permanent" day regardless of who can make it or not ... we had a good thing going when we did this before, and last week proved that we've still got the numbers to make it work.
I found a nice server last night. Was small like 5 on each side. It rotated through different modes, ctf, collection, hero and at least 2 of the guys on each side had headsets, and everyone was mature and cooperated. It was a blast. (Even dropped and grouped up our collection balls)

I suppose I can drag myself away from the awesomeness of MegaMan 9 and the new Halo 3 update for jetpack goodness this Thursday. Incidentally, I'll be playing right after my Japanese exam, so if I seem a bit ruthless, blame Sensei, not me. :P
I would be willing to hold off on downloading wipeout for a few hours for some good old warhawk action. Mmmm flamethrower violating people on zones is always good for a laught.
Woohoo, I ranked up to Sergeant. I still have trouble with my piloting skills. The training mission helped, but I still can't beat the last part of the training mission where you have to destroy all the drones while they're shooting missles at you.

Well the final trainer dosn't actualy have any way to win it. Basicly it keeps track of how many dones you can kill in the 3 minute time limit they respawn after you kill them. If you can survive all 3 minutes though you should be able to scrub missles effectivly though.
I get in at least one game a week been playing for over a year. Yeah with out being like all the other douches and exploiting CTF it'll never happen. At least they patched out the exploit.
Man the other day I had the most intresting unranked game. This guy was basicly a real ho-hum pilot but was doing realy well by using some verry anoying tactics. He would chaff any missle attacks and imediatly throw on the cloak and try to mauver around to your tail. Then if ever I could get him in my sights again he would cloak and run to the health pick ups. He always made sure that there were air mines on the cloaks too just so no one could turn the tables with an equaly anoying tactic.
I got a few kills in on him but against him in particular came out being 4 - 8. Still got first place and the win for my team by mostly taking out theyre tanks but still frustrating dealing with such an anoying player.
The trophie tells you if its ranked or not. Theres one that says if its dedicated or if the host is playing too. And the last one tells you if it is a passworded server.
Wow activity has died in this thread. Three things wanted to say. First 2.5 firmware is out go get it.
Second is there any intrest in a warhawk night this week now that the beta for LBP has ended. Could realy go for another game of collection where people actualy work together. Maybe some zones or ctf too.
Third I've had this wild idea kicking around for a few days now about using the jetpacks to eject from the passenger seat of a warhawk to assualt a base. Think it would work great using a charged lighting shot to clear out any mines before the deep strike and having the warhawk fly cover while caping a zone. Basicly wanting to see what the momentum effects are like so if anyone wants to give this a shot some time let me know.

I'd be up for it. Just gotta fiddle around with my headset to get it working this time. Funny, I still can't figure out the damn thing for a game I've had since last Christmas, but I was instantly able to get it to play nice with my new touch screen phone.
Don't know why the ps3 sometimes hates on bluetooth headsets. Just pair it up like you did on your phone and turn it off and on again. If that dosn't work repeat the same process cept add in a priest of your liking to try and scare off some gremlins or something.

I ordered Socom with the PS3 headset so I'm looking forward to playing Warhawk with that thing. New firmware goes with the headset to make it awesome. I don't know if Socom is even good but it was only 10 bucks more than buying the headset by itself so hopefully it's all right.

Kind of like Uncharted, though with that I would have actually had all the trophies by now.
