Alright I think I'm about ready to get this party started should I find an empty official server or hook up my ethernet cable and see what kind of hosting capability that will get me?

Edit: After playing a few hours of pick up games I logged out for a break and now the server keeps on failing to let me on. First time since the launch period of the game I've been so frustrated with it. Gona try hooking up the wired connection see if that helps. Shoot me a message whenever anyone wants to get the game on started.

Re edit: Looks like warhawk's service is down. If anyone of the late commers can actualy get they're log in to happen make a post and I'll try again.

Guess its megaman time.

I just got home half an hour ago so I assume I missed out. Or if the servers were down, we all missed out. Anyways I'm on vacation next week so I'll take a break from LittleBigPlanet on thursday. I should also be getting a nice headset with Socom soon.

Aperantly Warhawk hasn't been patched to support the new bigger friend list. So new additions to friends list above the old 50 member limit won't show up in the community tab. This is kinda annoying.

Either that or I need to allow the game time to update my list kinda like it takes time to update ones profile.

Good god, I just finished playing with the worst pub noobs ever.
CTF at Omega Factory: Guy rushes through a tunnel, gets killed, I .50 Cal the tank dead, and have 0 support getting the flag halfway across the map.
Hero at Archapelgo: The Hero became the guy who camped in an APC and got shot to death instead of a walking tank.
There were these two people who didn't have the basest grasp of tactics, or how to turn off Open mic.

I haven't been on in a long while. I played the ever-loving hell out of this game, so I was pretty burned out. I'd be willing to pop it in once in a while if you guys started playing again, too.

The server population is still very good, I can't say too much of the PA crew though

Still got it, I just can't play all that much due to:

1) 9 PM class on Thursday
2) Papers and soon finals for classes
3) Owning a 360, on which I have 45 or more friends in comparison to not even half that on the PS3. We need more people to buy Warhawk, especially since it's just 30 or 40 bucks now.

God nothing frustrates me more than some fool sitting in the APC when hero mode is on. It's the only vehicle in the game with out any real offencive capability. But thats part of the pub game sceen is trying to get so good that you can compensate for the dead weight on your team.

Wow I haven't even thought of this game in so long. Is it one of those games where it's like riding a bike? I'd hate to have to relearn all my damn tactics haha

About 30 minutes of fumbling around like a newb again, then things start falling back into place and your rocking out again. Just remember to keep moving when capping a zone so someone dosn't knife/nade you, and the WHMG rocks against people in Jetpacks.

From what I've been playing recently, open mic needs to go die in a fire. Hearing garbled crap in my ear does not make a fun experience

Thats preaty much the consensus. I honestly don't think the people on open mic know just how annoying they realy are to everyone. And I know if I was on open mic the profanity heard when some one hits a heavy melee with binoculars would make a hooker blush.

This game is amazing. I've only been playing the demo, but man is it fun. I don't even know what I'm doing half the time.

I'm absolutely buying this. I'll add you malechai, and anyone else who's active (maybe we could get an update, or a new roll call?)

Mine's Elliotw2.
When you play, look for little circles with rods on top, if you see these, shoot them. They are made of demon blood and are the most annoying thing about Zones mode

A good way to deal with those annoying proxmine is to get a lightning gun on the warhawk and charge it up and fire it into the middle of an area you want demined. Alot of times you will end up catching someone on the other team in the explosions.

The way you will know its fully charged is the outer reticle for the weapon will be filled in solid.

Edit: My friends list is still too damn big for warhawk to display all of it.

How do the expansion packs work? Are they microtransactions for more maps/weapons/vehicles, and are they bought through the PSN Store or through retail? Will I be missing out on anything if I just get the $29.99 download?

The EP's each add a vehicle and a map, If you buy the download and bundle, it's about the price of a Blu-Ray game
Unless the Blu-ray version is the same price

Well it's been kinda hard to find a wh/headset combo in the wild for a while now.

Sorry for destroying your team on collection ell. But it was nice having a team that actualy listend to me for once to cordinate gathering cores for the 10 point play. Island fortress is also the easiest map to win collection on all you need are the two bridges and you have easy access to all the cores.

Given that I was stumbling around and trying to figure out the controls of Halo after just a few days of Left 4 Dead, I dread at how bad my Hawkery has become after such a long time away.

Heh, the worst I had was comming back to WH after GTA4 kept wondering why triangle wouldn't get me into vehicles. Worst of all it was right after Broken mirror came out, so I'd spawn in an APC and go to pop the hatch and be standing on the side of the road with a confused look on my face.

They're downloaded through the store.
If you have any good psn games to trade, I'll let you download the boosters from my account

Was the sound garbled? It seems a common problem with Warhawk, I get it occasionally too, people sound like the adults from Charlie Brown.

So, who all is intrested in a revival of the tursday night warhawk fest. I know I could definatly go for a game of CTF where the calls for air cover are actualy answered by my teamates. Or a game of zones where most of my teamates are actualy fighting for teritory.
