Let this day be known hereafter as Easter, and stuff your kids with sugar and caffeine in thanks.
I just got back from a 38-day stay in the United States of America, during which my girlfriend and I went on a long-assed road trip across the US having adventures and shit and (sometimes) hanging out with internet people.
Some of the things we have done include:
- Visit Six Flags Great Adventure and be thoroughly disappointed with the Dark Knight ride.
- Be led around New York City by someone with a sense of anti-direction and subsequently get lost literally ever five feet.
- Play Psychonauts and various other games we brought with us in a large bag whenever we stopped at a hotel.
- Visit Niagra Falls.
- Visit Toronto and go on a Scott Pilgrimage, visiting such places as Casa Loma, Sneaky Dee's and Honest Ed's (the world's most existentially horrifying discount store extravaganza).
- Buy lots of comics.
- Draw some things.
- See Mount Rushmore and Crazy Horse.
- Witness the majesty of Old Faithful (who has gotten somewhat less faithful over the years, it seems).
- Hang out with Whippy, Arithena and Shorty.
-Collect call-girl cards in Vegas and treating them as baseball cards. I got some doubles. You wanna trade?
and most prominently
- Visit Comic-Con with some peeps from the AC, collecting sketches and autographs from various people, as well as tons of goodies.
It's too bad we didn't get to meet any of you guys going to Comic-Con, though I think I saw Fiz on the trolley on Saturday evening and PI the next day in the morning.
Pictures will accompany this post tomorrow, I think. I am too jet-lagged to hook up my camera.
All in all, my summer has been exceptionally great, apart from the unfortunate fact that I'm now separated once again from my girlfriend by eleventy kabillion leagues of Atlantic Ocean. It sucks a lot.
How have you been, SE++?

Welcome back.
I was going to say gayest, but this works too.
Just name it, I have to watch The Twilight Zone.

Not the lamest, it was pretty fun seeing Toronto. It wasn't the most amazing thing ever, though.

I made a thread and everything.
Besides, we wouldn't have made it to you anyway, since the person we were with, though fun, was entirely incapable of leading anybody in the correct direction for anything.
It's a miracle that we didn't get raped.
Oh shit, and we went to a really cool little Japanese restaurant which was a really neat recreation of an old yakuza bar. You guys ever hear of it? (sorry we didn't tell you we were coming)

it is a wonder
Have you seen Crazy Horse?
Even unfinished it's somewhat more impressive. It's much, much, much larger, for one. Mount Rushmore fits in Crazy Horse's head, for instance.
Rushmore was really cool, though. Crazy Horse is more impressive, though, especially due to its history.
The guy who was hired to do it actually worked on it alone for the first years. Out in the middle of nowhere. Built himself a log cabin, bought an old-as-shit compressor, put down 2000 feet or so of pipe, went at it every day chipping away parts of the rock and dynamiting shit.
We missed you? You hung out with Whippy and Ari and Shorty and nobody invited us?
Fuck!
your = belonging to you
their = belonging to them
there = not here
they're = they are
Rock Band DLC | GW:OttW - arrcd | WLD - Thortar
I only saw Crazy Horse from the road because it costs money to see Crazy Horse and I didn't really feel inclined to pay $20 at that point
it's huge and impressive, yeah... but I like Rushmore more
