They are going to charge $5 more ($15 total) on PC than what they are charging on every other platform. Then (just my guess) is they will blame bad sales on piracy and not that everyone bought it on cheaper platforms.
Why are they doing this? There should be a worldwide outrage.

I think they just want to give people who were going to pirate it anyways, some sort of supposed moral justification and a chance to say "well I was going to buy it".
The PC version supposedly has some extra stuff coming to it as well.
I plan on getting it on PC myself. It's an extra five bucks I don't mind paying. Though I really want this to succeed on PC, mainly to get them to port Super Puzzle Fighter II Turbo HD like they said they were going to.

PSN titles are getting too much of my money lately. First Echochrome, Pixeljunk Eden and Siren, now BC: Rearmed is a must-buy (I've been waiting like 20 years for an update of this game), and like a week after that it's R&C: Quest for Booty!
They gotta' start putting out crap, my wallet can't take much more of this.
Also, to be more on-topic: $15.00? Surely this will cause economic collapse! Rabble! Rabble rabble! If it's like on Steam, any excuse they give is just that - an excuse.
If it comes in a nice box with an instruction manual and a disc, well sure - charge us an extra fiver, that's fine-just-fine.

There will be, and anyone with a PC that really wants to play, and is pissed off at this, will likely just pirate it.
What's that saying when what you do causes what you don't want to happen, to happen? It's one of those.
It has nothing to do with Piracy concerns. It has to do with different business terms/expectations in that sector and more importantly, generally prevailing pricing of PC digital games versus their console counterparts.
The typical downloadable price for digital-only games on PC is actually $19.99.
If they had have said "The optimisation for PC is costing more than we expected" or "Porting to the PC is much more difficult than we expected" I would respect that.
But "Other people charge more on PC, so we can get away with it" is a bit of a dick move.
Although, it's a bit of a standard industry practice. Lot's of PS2 games are coming out at like £17.99 these days, and the Wii has a waggleport at £30. Shovelware mostly, but the point still stands.

It isn't about piracy.
True.
Once the 360 version sells more for being cheaper, THEN they'll say it's piracy.
As for me, well, as long as they're actually giving more content for the extra cost, I don't really have an issue with it.

So they're ripping off PC Gamers because they're expecting it.

I don't know the prices for a whole lot of digital-only PC games, but Audiosurf is $10 and each episode of Sam & Max is less than that on Steam.
Can someone clarify here, is the PC version coming with more content or not?
Allegedly. One of the devs posted that there'd be an extra content patch post release for additional "danger rooms" or something, whatever that means. I never played the original Bionic Commando.
Hell, the only reason it's 10$ on XBL and PSN is because the bionic commando team is awesome and held a poll on their website asking how much the game should cost. Not exactly a brilliant plan, but cool none the less.

The link says $5 so I guess that. Not as bad as $15

it's $15 total, and on consoles it's in whatever $10 is in Microsoft Points (TM) (R) (S).

 a needle pulling threeeead
PC: Bionic Command Rearmed - $15
Console: Xbox 360 + BCR - $310
Surely not?
Lewie, don't make me hurt you.
Awesome, I've never seen a genuine internet punch up before.
*grabs popcorn*
Niiiiice
You're getting Bionic Commando for free, aren't you. You jerk.
Edit: Yeah, I really don't care about pricing controversy for any XBLA game any more.

A long time ago I heard that the 360 version has lower res textures because of space limitations.

Shit most PC games are $10 cheaper than console counterparts. So it could be much worse.
