I may be mistaken but, I think she actually will be driving that night.... so I doubt she'd be drinking....

But Drunken ACC3SS vs Sober Badlcuk might still prove very entertaining. :rotate:

You bet, just find me an arcade!!!
I will probably be drinking on wednesday, though im not sure how yet. I suppose transit, but anyone who got in the car with me knows my feelings on transit. Ive been pretty much running around with my friends indulging in everything I can (like delicious west coast food) before i go back to sask.

I also think that getting together to do a social gaming thing would be more beneficial then staying at Jimz. I mean, i guess it really depends--if you want to do a BYOC thing (for those who PC) it would work decently, but the multiple TVs are always a bit of a carting issue. Everyone has pretty different tastes, but i guess everyone can agree that the point is to be with more then your usual group of you + 3. I wont be here, but i would also recommend GH / RB bar nights, real games (like bowling or minigolf), movie nights (absinthe has the midnight horrors near his place, also other more independent theaters are usually playing something nice) , picnics (providing the weather is decent), LAN parties, etc etc.

I'll bring it tomorrow night and you can laugh at my n00bish lack of handheld gaming skills.

Seeing as Howe and Granville are parallel streets I'm guessing you meant Helmcken.

If so then yes its on Granville about halfway between Helmcken and Davie, next to a vacant lot.

    See you there.

Pretty much the holy trinity of DS Multiplayer Games there.

I'll also have Puzzle Quest with me. Though I don't reccomend mixing dinking and Puzzle Quest, no good can come from such a combination.

Sooo a list of any good all you can eats would be amazing me and my buddies make the trip up to Richmond for Kisha Popo and I'm sure I could convince them to try something different!

Ive been to Richmond Sushi-with a group of about 26, it was mega hectic, they hated us. It is MUCH more like 'drunk food'. My favorite sushi comes from Red Tuna on South Granville/Marpole. Its a little family run place and pretty expensive compared to a lot of the chinese places here, but they have the most amazing sashimi i have had in a while!

Thats me! I love spicy. I was thinking the honey garlic (also an avid garlic lover) but id be willing to try some with you--provided you buy me a beer. 8-)

you need milk or bread or something. I was under the impression that the beer was more of a payment for partaking, rather than a solution to the spiciness...but I could be wrong :D

I don't trust anything that is so spicy you have to sign a waiver to eat.

    parabola on
  • AbsintheMindedAbsintheMinded Registered User regular

The waiver is more of a sales pitch than a legal document.

That being said, if you don't normally eat spicy food don't try them. For someone not used to spices no amount of milk (not even bringing in a dairy cow so you can suck it dry) will help you.

That being said it appears that if iFold is willing to buy a round of milk he might have quite a few partakers. I'm almost thinking this could relplace the generic round of tequilla that normally occurs at a drinking event. Everyone take one wing with a milk chaser.... aaannndddd hilarity ensues.

On the contrary, I have only once had someone buy me a drink, and I regretted it for the rest of the night (he followed me around like a puppy, like essentially giving me $6 gives him the right to try to touch me for the next four hours).
