The Sheraton lost my reservation.

I have already posted on the hotel share thread, but since people who already have a room will most likely not be looking at it I have posted a new one so that everyone is made aware.

I called the Sheraton yesterday to check my reservation and apparently they lost it (regardless of me providing a confirmation number). I was told that their computer had previously crashed. I highly suggest that anyone who has booked at the Sheraton call and make sure that they still have a record of your reservation.

If you also have this problem, please PM me, I will be talking to the manager tomorrow.

    Bump, this is important info. I suggest you change the title of the post to suggest this could be an issue for everyone. I also think this is deserving of a sticky, at least for a bit.

    BUMP. Thanks for the bump. However still no luck on this end. Just "sorry sir, we don't have your reservation"
    I did receive a call back from the special reservations with a phone number that i can call them back at. AWESOME! Thus tomorrow is another day

    BTW I booked this back in early april

    I checked mine online now, and both rooms (two nights at regular rate, plus three at PAX rate) seem to still be okay. I'll continue checking periodically to make sure.

    Thanks for the head's up! I booked back in the spring as well. Whew, just checked mine and everything seems okay for now. Let us know how it works out for you.

    FYI, the Crowne Plaza "lost" my reservation in July. I e-mailed Khoo, and he and Mike Felauer helped me get it straightened out, and consequently I'm bringing them cookies. :)

    Yeah, called em today to just make sure, mentioned I had heard they had lost a reservation or two..

    but still there! woo.. don't wanna hafta worry about the hotel room.. paying for it is worry enough! ;)

    We got it sorted out and thanks everyone for the concern.

    Apparently *some* staff members in Seattle can't spell. Even when you do it like cops do. (B as in BALL.. A as in ANVIL.. ) Finally after the 5th call we got someone with a brain who knew how to spell "Eric" properly and they found it...

    They even spelled his e-mail wrong when they took the reservation in the first place.. and I'm sure he spelled it out for them.

    But anyways thats absolutely the last thing you need before PAX... to get there and have them tell you you don't have a reservation. I'm glad we called and checked first instead of having to deal with this on the day-of. Now it's fixed and we can carry on worry-free. (or at least as close as can be) :)

    What I did when I checked my reservation online is use my last name and the number for the card I reserved it with. Even if there's any confusion in the future, if you can look it up this way it should take out the spelling issues.

    My reservation was over the phone, too, but you can still check the status online, if anything bugs up again before your check in. :)

    This is a very good thing because seattle will be stuffed that weekend. I'm almost certain that there will be complaints from both parties about not enough hotel rooms (Bumpershoot and PAX)
