There does not appear to be a thread about ye old print comics about anywhere after a cursory search. Now I can't speak for Marvel, but I am following a number of DC titles, and I would love to discuss story lines.

Recently arcs in DC comics (post crisis and one year later)

Don't click these spoilers. They are REAL SPOILERS.

Batman and Detective Comics:
After Batman came back from his year away from Gotham, he had to pretty much start over. The criminal element had changed, and much of the ground level thugs lost thier fear of the bat. To complicate things, the Black Glove has made a move on Batman, and most recently were in possession of Wayne Manor and the Batcave. On another front, Batgirl left Gotham to fight Shiva, her mother. Hung Shiva from a hook too. Ended up joining the league of assassins. It was later revealed that this was due to Deathstroke drugging her with the same junk that screwed up his own daughter's head. I feel this was a ret-con copout, but I am glad that Cassandra Cain is back on the side of the angels where Karma is concerned.

Robin:
Robin is struggling to cope with Bruce's odd behavior, and has just been clued in that the Black Glove is actually real and not some figment of Bruce's imagination. Also, Spoiler is back! Tim is of mixed feelings about that, being as she was gone from Gotham for over a year and never told Tim she was still alive. Minor plot points: Robin is un-nerved by some dirty detectives in the GCPD, and is trying to forge ties with a plain-clothes-woman named Harper.

Nightwing:
After solving the issue with Talia al'Goul (sp) and her Army of flying ninja prototypes, Nightwing returns to Gotham to assist with the Batman-going-crazy thing. But he seems to be locked up in an Asylum at the moment. Minor plot points: He seems to have gotten his relationship with Barbara Gordon on track again, after she turned down an engagement ring.

Birds of Prey:
Barbara Gordon's team of operatives is flying under ex-operative Black Canary's nose in her home town, and Danna is a little ticked off about it. Also, what is to be done with the amazing Misfit? And what about the criminal underground in town that is so underground not even the all seeing Oracle can get a hard gaze upon it?

Teen Titans and Titans:
The crew recovers from an attack by the Clock King right in time to be launched into a full-on assault on everyone who has ever stood under the Titan's banner. Powerboy gets punked like a bitch (but really, good riddance), and most of the rest of the newly formed titans are hospitalized after the assault on their first training exercise.

Catwoman:
End of the run for Catwoman, and I have to say, the writing was great. During one year later, Catwoman was pregnant. Afterwards, she comes under attack so much she ends up being forced to ask Bruce Wayne to help her put the child up for adoption just to save young Helena's life. One thing is for sure: If you push Catwoman hard enough, she has shown she will put you into the ground. Just ask Black Mask. Oh wait, never mind. She painted the wall with his grey-matter.

Manhunter:
The latest hero to carry the name of Manhunter is on the trail of disappearing women in the Juarez area. But even her part time boss Bones at the D.E.O. is warning her off this case.

Blue Beetle:
Jamie Rayes is adjusting to life as the blue beetle as best he can, but he is stuck enforcing border security as Intergang smuggles people and guns and... stuff... across the border. What is going on up in El Paso these days?

Checkmate:
After finally ousting the treacherous White Queen Waller from the ranks of Checkmate, the organization is forced to deal with a major worldwide operation by Kobra, and the Rooks are finally brought into play. Yeah, the four-horsemen style agents of Checkmate. And after all that, Checkmate goes and falls into the whole trite experimental-soldier-created-from-dead-soldier routine that sucks so bad. Really, I can't wait for the next storyline, this one bites.

Supergirl:
This series has been schitzo. I hope they get it ironed out, because the last 30 issues feels like a non-stop series of ret-cons to me. Where we currently stand: Recovering from a series of bad choices after the whole Amazonian war thing and trying to save a young boy with terminal cancer. Oh, and Powerboy thankfully has been cured of his unhealthy Supergirl fixation by means of being impaled on a tree, as seen in Titans East Special #1.

I am not following much else, so if you read Action comics, or Green Lantern or Flash or whatever feel free to pitch in. If you follow Marvel comics I can't help you, but if you are will to chat about them here nothing stopping you.

To be honest, I'll come back to this once I know the mods are or are not going to kill it for my 5AM mistake. If the thread is still here after some mods have been by, I would love to chat with you about that one.
