When levelling on my boomkin, I may consider getting naturalist and the glyph, I'm curious to see how decent I'll be at healing.

Speaking of boomkins, does anyone have any recommendations for burning 54 badges with my gear setup?

I have a level 54 Druid, I logged him today and decide to pick his talents...I meant to put 5 points in Furor but had just started putting points in Feral. It branching out the Bear and Cat talents kind of confused me at first. So now all my points are in Feral and I don't regret it one bit.

I did this as well (57 druid) And this is just awesome.

I would definitely get the idol first as it will be best in slot for...looks like forever right now. After that the bracers are a very nice piece that will last awhile. Most of the other badge gear will waste away by the time you hit 75+ and start WotLK heroics and Nax10.

Idol of the unseen moon? I thought about it, but the combo of the moonfire and starfire glyphs seems so powerful, and would greatly reduce how often I'd cast moonfire.

yes yes good sir, which is why I mentioned the bracer next

*full raid buffed before gay ass spellfire nerf

Edit: plus...that whole pvp thing...if you care

Speaking of Omen of Clarity, is there any consensus on what the One True Bear (or cat) spec is? I specced mine up to Berserk and stuck to bear talents, but that means I've only got Furor and that 10% melee talent in resto.

I haven't really done much cat junk since the patch, but am I reading it right that our energy pool now is persistent instead of resetting to 0 whenever we leave cat? So no more powershifting for energy, but we can start with a full energy bar when we shift into cat?

Like, for raiding? Berserk is better than OoC for a raid spec.

Well, what does Furor do now? If it still gives 40 energy when shifting into cat, then I assume energy still resets and starts at 0.

I ask because I can't look for a few more hours.

I don't think there can be any one true bear or cat spec, except in situations where you will build a spec that is for absolute total optimization of just tanking or just dpsing. I think most people need to leave some room in their specs to have at least some extra cat boosting talents in their bear spec, and bear boosting talents in their cat spec.

Furor for cat now works as you said Charus. It allows the energy regen to occur regardless of your form. So you can't powershift, but if you use all your energy, shift to heal for 6 seconds, then shift to cat, you'll have 60 - 80 energy depending on how long has passed. Wait 10 seconds and you'd have 100 energy.

As for true bear vs. true cat, it's incredibly difficult at level 70. At 80 you can sort of have one or the other (although as Septus said, you'll end up with some cat talents or some bear talents.)

Also, I disagree that Berserk is better than Omen of Clarity for raiding. If you are only interested in tanking, it probably is. If you are interested in dps, Omen of Clarity is mandatory. The free energy is too important to miss.

    I was responding to:
    One True Bear
    and
I specced mine up to Berserk and stuck to bear talents
So, yeah, you'd be interested in tanking in that case.

Druidbar now shows energy when you are in caster form, and mana when in Bear/Cat forms, which is a nice touch.

No cooldown on Hurricane is awesome. Starfall + Hurricane = lots of numbers.

Also, is it just me seeing things or does Hurricane crit sometimes? I don't remember it doing that before.

You should see the lvl 80 Hurricane

-50% melee/spell cast speed and it works on pretty much everything

It's ridiculous, and yes it crits now and last time I was using it crits were refunding mana via Moonkin Form more than once per cast, so you could actually gain mana casting it on so many mobs.

Yes, I noticed that. Our Warrior tank had 10+ mobs on him (Warriors have absolutely ridiculous AoE threat now) and I Hurricaned them, and all of a sudden I realize that I have more mana than I had before I casted the Hurricane.

    So very awesome.

So I ran a regular Shattered Halls, to test out swipe and Bezerk mostly.

It was freaking easy, even with keystone DPS just all picking seperate targets. Wanna try a heroic with slightly less retarded people.

Swipe was sexy for the aoe pulls, and busting out beserk for pulls was fun as hell with the Maul glyph as well, just see a whole bunch of mangle crits everywhere

For the fellow healing trees that use grid and love the lifebloom/hot duration trackers that got borked with the update, one of the guys on the wowace forums came up with a temporty fix that'll have the little numbers we love so much count down yet again.

Thorns only seems to scale with spell damage when it's cast on yourself. When I get hit Thorns hits for 80+, but when my tank gets hit it does the normal 25 damage. Kinda sucks if it's intentional.

I'm thinking this will be my 70 build. Mostly for tanking 5-mans or soloing I'd say. I don't expect to be doing any real raiding. What do you guys think?

I am really going to miss Imp. leader of the pack. I hate that you basically can't take it now because there are so many talents that increase your dps or tanking that seem necessary.

One or the other of them is annoying me to no end. I get the following splash messages:

    Feral Combat Tree Ready!
    Balance Tree Ready!
    Restoration Tree Ready!
