Brikwars my friend had the rule book printed at a copy center, this game is freaking fun. Basically Anything you can build or imagine you can field, and the game beats the pants off any Lego Figure Based Wargame ive ever played. Does anyone know the site for it? or currently play this game?

I played this at PAX until I literally collapsed. At 5:30 in the morning.

This game is unbelievably fucking awesome, and I am utterly thrilled to finally see someone other than me bring it up.

    Good job, sir.

The Rule of Fudge is the greatest innovation in tabletop gaming history, in my opinion.

Also, here is a brief rundown of the game we played at PAX
here's the pictures I took during our game.

    brk4.jpg
The beginning of the game. Yes, those are rabid soccer moms with exploding soccer balls and razor-sharp fingernails, if you were wondering.

    brk3.jpg
A little further into the game. The mecha-scorpion and the giant mech are about to do battle, and the soccer moms are in for some real punishment.

    brk1.jpg
Like here, when I blasted off one of their heads at point-blank range, then built a gushing fountain of blood spurting from her still-standing corpse. I later walked over her and trailed her blood behind me.

    brk2.jpg
Here we see what is left of a Dragon Knight and his horse after taking blasts from the mini-mech and the larger mech. Basically a pile of red blood and guts.

    brk5.jpg
Darth Maul doing a flip over the minimech in an attempt to slice off the arms with his duel-wielded lightsabers.

    Holy shit, this game rules.

I'm going to guess legos and lego men, but I haven't read through the rules much yet. It might turn out that legos are only the most common and basic tool used, and just about anything is acceptable.

Hmm. It looks like they recommend those tiny little Lego figures. I'll go for a budget around $20-$30, which isn't much, but it's goddamn Lego, so it should get me somewhere, right?

Except there's my total lack of friends. Ugh.

I have to make my friends buy some Bionocles first... I have a few from way back when they first came out (now assembled into a couple larger awesome custom figures), but I don't think they ever got any.

Unless they just want to use minifigs. But then they'd be crushed by the robot onslaught.

Unless you shared your Bionocles out.

If you don't mind disasseming your models, here's what I'd do. Get all the Lego, Bionocle parts, Minifigs and everything into one box, all unassembied.

Give each player a pile of bricks and give everyone a time limit to make an army. (Maybe you should have a pile for terain as well that everyone makes)

    Play.

It appears Lego does not provide a service in which you can purchase massive amounts of minifigures.

I have two boxes of legos, with about 1200 basic brick pieces total and two-four minifigs. What's the best modern set around to both add to building options and provide a stupidly large amount of minifigures within a 50-dollar limit?

You can order minifigs alone through that, if you want. You can also order exactly which bricks you want to add to whatever you already have. A minifig appears to cost £0.83, which isn't cheap, though.
