Fairly meh on Epic's dealings or new IP's, but I'm sure the new game will be pretty.
Suda51 and Shinji Mikami have both made some of the most beloved games of the past 5/10 years. The fact that they are signed with a publisher that is likely to give them a solid budget (not much of a problem for Mikami, but I know Suda51 has had to fight for funding) is massive news.
Edit: I'll change the title if you like.
I am especially glad that I was told this is coming out for the Xbox 360(R) video game system from Microsoft, PLAYSTATION(R)3 computer entertainment system. I had no idea what these strange devices were and I'm glad that EA told me these things.
I never asked for this!
At most, surprising.
At least expected.
Also, good to see Mikami getting some work.

Well, I think the EA/Grasshopper/Suda 51/Shinji Mikami story is megaton-worthy. It's like a Chrono Trigger-styled "dream team", but for a horror game. My interest is piqued at the very least, even though I dislike all of Suda 51's games and almost all of Mikami's.

It's a shame I'm so squeamish.
Suda working on a horror game with the maker of Resident Evil USING EAs MONEY!? How can you NOT get excited about that!
Which is good because maybe they'll at least get some media attention this time round
Winner winner chicken dinner. This is definitely megaton-quality news for me. It's just a question of how hands-off EA will be, because Suda51 doesn't exactly make things that are popular.
Yeah really. This is more like a kiloton.
Let's also not forget that EA is publishing and not developing, and this is also getting made by Shinji Mikami of Resident Evil fame, who shows that he knows what horror is.
I wonder if this will be that project Suda and Shinji has been planning all along or something totally seperate?
Wait.....
KOJIMA?
!
Yeah I know this is publishing, but I'm just saying, they're also developing a kickass horror game too. That's got to count for something.
I never asked for this!
Ok, fuck me. The potential for awesome is staggering.
