I'm a salesman at an independent computer chain in Toronto, but after working in the business for three and a half years I'm pretty tired of retail work in general, and I've learned pretty much everything there is to know about selling computer parts. I've recently told my boss that I'm going to be leaving soon, and he understands my decision.
My main problem is that I don't know where to go next. Although I'm in my mid-twenties, I'm still a first-year student at an art school that I attend part-time, where I study illustration. Ideally I'd like to get a job in my field, but I'm not sure if I draw well enough to get myself hired as an illustrator, and I don't have a huge amount of graphic design or any website creation experience.
I've been spinning my wheels for a few weeks now trying to figure out what to do - and recently I've had a shortfall of cash which is making my situation even more desperate. Are there retail jobs that pay better than $12.50 an hour? Or other jobs where my computer skills would be an asset? Should I try and improve my skills of an artist first or just start looking for art-related jobs now? OH LORD SO MANY HORRIBLE BURNING QUESTIONS

On the other hand, I've seen some ads around the city looking for males between the ages of 19-26 to star in solo films, pays cash, I could be the next 'rising star'. I am about this close to grabbing one so I can pay off my overdue rent/loan situation.
