PC games for new laptop

So, I have a new laptop:

...And I want some good PC games for it. I know I'm probably not looking for anything that's 07/08, but I want some fun stuff that I missed out on, as I've never had a computer that could really run games. I have played Half Life/2/Counter-strike, all the Blizzard stuff I'd enjoy, and the CnCs.
What are your suggestions?

I hear the S.T.A.L.K.E.R games are very good, and I can personally recommend the Sam and Max games (Episode 104 of which is still free on Telltale's website, I think).
Although obviously external mouse.
