WWF No Mercy (N64)[Solved]

So, maybe someone here will have greater google or memory skills.

I recently bought a used copy off ebay and have been enjoying it, but I have reached a problem. I am unable to even attempt to play the Hardcore or European belts. I have looked around online but found nothing that says they have to be unlocked, and even if they did..I have all the other belts open to me.

I don't want to just reset the game memory to see if that will fix it because this cart has a majority of special items, moves, and wrestlers unlocked.

Any ideas on how to be able to play the Hardcore or European story mode?

    The writing on the page I read was atrocious so I won't post the link, but it seems to indicate that you need to win the WWF Title in order to access the Hardcore Belt. Have you done that?

    I've won the title several times. Maybe I have to win a certain path... hm. Welp, thanks for the effort!

    Ok, so I found the problem I was having at the bottom of some forum. Apparently, what happened to this guy...He was using gameshark to unlock a character. He won the belt with this character and saved. Then when he went to play without gameshark, the game "forgot" who won the title and locked it. I guess whoever had the game before me had something like that.

    So I reset the data and everything is allllright. Now just the process of doing like 20 Survivals to get the money back.
