My new computer and the monitor

I just recently got a new PC with Vista. Everything was working fine until today when I was on youtube and suddenly the monitor went black and said that it could find no connection. This monitor is only a couple monthes old and I never had any problems with it when I was using it on my old XP machine. Any help? I can provide more details if needed.

    Did the cable come loose? Do other monitors work?

    The cable is not loose, I have unplugged it then replugged it in. I'll check with other monitors.

    If you reboot your computer and just don't go on youtube does it work or its been broken since the youtube black out?

    Also, have you checked for a loose connection? Have you tried the DVI and analog cables to see if either work?

    yeah try seeing if that monitor works with other computers and if other monitors work with the new computer

    Okay, solved the problem. Something was wrong with the cable, I just replaced it with a new one and it now works.
