Rock Band Free-Play - Setup?

Is there anyone reading this who is doing the set-up for the Rock Band Free-Play on Friday and Saturday nights?

I was wanting to find out how it will all be arranged.

- Is it going to be multiple screens with two guitars, a drum kit, and a mic at each screen?

- How is the sound going to be setup for it?

- Will there be a line for each instrument, or will there be one big line where 4 people go at a time?

Thanks in advance!

This thread is relevant to my interests. I was thinking here would be a place that we could have informal tourneys if there are still enough amiable parties and depending on setup.

The setup for the evening Rock Band sessions will be pretty low-key, but there IS going to be a Free Play Stage on the 2nd floor that will certainly interest you. :)

Free Play State? This does interest me, yet I do not know any details about it....

Is there a thread or other document around here that explains what the Free Play State is?

    From the schedule descriptions:

    http://www.pennyarcadeexpo.com/PAX_2008_Descriptions.pdf
Come rock out on stage with a sweet audio/visual setup!
Various fun challenges will be presented throughout the night!

So...yeah. Hopefully challenges also = prizes.

    Also, from the descriptions:
    History of Harmonix: THE ROCKENING
Sit with a panel of Harmonix employees who will tell the internal history of the famed music game developer from Frequency up through current develipment on Rock Band. Tragedy and Triump! Embarassing Stories! Questions answered! Some secrets probably revealed!

i really wanna try out rock band 2 drums, hopefully they'll make an appearance. the drums that will be there for us to play will be far inferior to my home setup.

I'm betting they will either have the rock band 2 drums or even an Ion kit.

I'm hoping for an Ion kit.

It'd be pretty bad if they had RB1 kits, as they'd better have like 50 of them on hand if they do...

If you are looking for a definitive Guitar/Drum game fix, the Gameworks next door has GuitarFreaks 11th mix and Drummania 10th Mix (session linked). Given there are only a couple dozen some machines in the country, you might be eager to give it a try.

Granted, it's probably going to be packed, but it's one of two machines in the state.
