The Guiding Principles and New Rules document is now in effect.
This has been discussed in the General FAQ thread but it's actually time for me (and I'm guessing most of you too) to start packing, so this issue is especially relevant now . Keep in mind that I may be packing more than most people since I'll be gone for 7 days (including the WCST up and down). I am posting the contents of my inventory here partly so that I can keep organized, and also to perhaps remind others of stuff they may have forgotten to pack.
Here is my list so far, ordered roughly in priority from high to low:
Suitcase, messenger bag
PAX Badge, train tickets
Wallet, keys, pen, notebook (stuff that normally goes in my pockets)
Extra cash (stored separately from my wallet, in case my wallet gets lost/stolen)
Toiletries: toothbrush, toothpaste, floss, deodorant, cologne, disposable razors, shave gel, contact solution, other toiletries (NOT shampoo/conditioner or soap, hotel will provide those)
Camera, camera case, extra battery, charger, extra memory, SD card reader
Earplugs (plus extras for anyone else who wants them) for sleeping on the train/hotel room and for the concerts
Earplugs for the concerts? ..Well I guess it couldn't hurt, I stood right in front a giant sub last year while Freezepop was playing, went deaf the rest of the weekend. But it was worth it!
Anyway...
1. Laptop, 500gb external to dump pics/vids on each night
2. NDS, PSP
3. Digital camera, three 2gb SD cards
4. Bag of buttons for button trading!
5. Set of two-way radios (going with a big group)
6. A lot of fucking energy!
Clothes
Bathroom Stuff
DS, Charger, Games
Camera, 4GB SD card and 2 GB SD card
Scooter the Laptop
Zune

Phone and charger
and some other stuff.?

I saw someone mentioning earplugs for the concerts, and I'd like to emphasize that. You really do want earplugs for loud shows. If you get a decent pair of earplugs it won't alter the sound at all, just bring it down to a reasonable level that won't damage your hearing, and sometimes it actually makes the music sound better. Mostly, though, you just want protection from the sound. I have friends who are really into the show/band scene, in their early-mid 20s, who are a little bit deaf from going to 2-3 shows a week and never wearing earplugs. That damage is permanent, and even if you lose a little street cred among the more badass, "I don't give a fuck" crowd, you'll be glad when you're 30 and you're the only one who can hear things from across a room.
Not only that, but if you need to sleep in a crowded area like a train, plane, bus, etc. earplugs are very helpful. An eye mask is also good.

Just FYI, radios don't get the greatest coverage in the WSCTC. I'd recommend a phone plan with a lot of text messages.
Also bringing:
1 gallon Pitcher O' Booze
1/5 Bacon Vodka
That's right. bacon vodka.
Also bringing my own shampoo, because living off of 1oz. hotel bottles for a week is insanity.
You know they come into the hotel and replace those every time they see they are low or empty. I've stayed in the same hotel for a week a number of times. I've never run out of towels or shampoo due to them getting replaced with rigorous frequency.
That's a frequent traveler pro-tip!

Man, you guys have some impressive lists. I remembered to add shaving stuff and contact solution to mine =D.
Also, for the earplugs, I reiterate what was said earlier. I am a musician and I wanna still be jammin when I'm 80. I'll be that awesome blues man playing in the coffee shop.
I think last year I stayed within a four block radius until Sunday night when I had a dinner out with (gasp) non-PAX friends. Most of the time was either WCTC or Sheraton, so I'm not sure if an umbrella is worth the trouble for that. I guess I'll probably throw one in though, just to appease the rain-gods.

8. 111 Buttons for exchanging
9. 3 Dragon Ante (my girlfriend loves the game and I figured we'd find someone there who wants to play with her)
10. Beef Jerky, or some other similar treat, for myself and to make more Train Friends.

We used them last year, worked fine, though headsets help a lot. Phones don't work because we don't hear them. Radios also give us another form of entertainment, but I'm not getting into that, lol. They're also being used for the drive down and back since my group is taking 2 vehicles.
