The Guiding Principles and New Rules document is now in effect.
Geometry Wars, Bionic Commando ReArmed, Geometry Wars 2, DLC for various games you might already own, Undertow, Geometry Wars and Geometry Wars 2, I hear Braid is pretty good, Worms, Geometry Wars 2 and Geometry Wars, Assault Heroes, Puzzle Fighter is probably pretty good, Puzzle Quest is supposed to be awesome...
The problem with having 1600 points is that there's so much good stuff on XBLA to choose from. Aside from all the awesome stuff that's been coming out this month, you should also look into Rez. And pretty much every other game that's been mentioned in this thread.
I'd recommend downloading the demos from everything on the "must have" list and anything else on the lists that interest you, then trying them out. Buy something that seems to particularly grab you. You probably should wait on Castle Crashers (next week) before deciding, it looks like it's going to be fucking phenomenal. Then, the next time 1600 point cards go on a good sale, buy a bunch of them and start going through the inevitable backlog of XBLA games you want to unlock.
My zombie survival life simulator They Don't Sleep is out now on Steam if you want to check it out.

BRAID. Early sales figures will help him port it to PC, make the innovative game a comercial success - al ot of it depends on if he sells well now, rather than gets a steady trickle of $ in. So buy Geometry Wars and N+ too, just get this first.
I think the most bang for the buck I've gotten on Arcade was Castlevania: Symphony of the Night, but then again I haven't played a Castlevania since Super Castlevania.

What type of games do you like? I can make suggestions based on that.
Pretty much anything aside from non-Mario sports games or knockoffs of Flash games I can play for free on a PC.

Oh, and Geometry Wars.

half-limed for double-truth. Braid is a must-have. Unless you vastly prefer shooting to thinking.
I second that.

Uno?
Is the expansion worth it if I've beaten the DS version to the point that I wore out my copy?

There's four new character classes, though the new material is a bit short.
So.... maybe?
Mainly because I just wanted to type out the entire title.
your problem is is that you just bought 1600 points, but you need about 8000 more to buy all the awesome that exists on the XBLA.
edit: Beat'd, just becuase I typed out the whole title.
(I don't have a connection at home)
