So the
motherboard fried early this year and after pussyfooting around, I now stand at the threshold of shipping it off as soon as I am paid.
The motherboard died in a power surge so it will probably be out of warranty, especially if when I ripped the heatsink out, I damaged the socket.
Now it will take time for it to get there,
be examined,
diagnosed,
acquire my consent,
repair or replace,
send it back.
OR
Get a new one for more, ( was thinking this
one)
Also, does the manufacturer matter if I wanted to get a 8800gt? Because I see cheap ones in Fry's Electronics ads all the time and I wanted to know if they were worthwhile.
