The mini ties in to New Avengers, with Pat hunting down escapees from The Raft
    Spidey shows up in it
But since then he's been pretty silent
Which is sad, I like the character

He'll probably be killed off-panel within a couple years.

That reminds me, I need to track down a copy of Toxin's mini

does he have his own mini or are you talking about venom vs carnage? because that is so, so bad.

He has his own mini that takes place after the events of Venom Vs Carnage.

I'm not even sure Toxin was ever acknowledged in the mainstream marvel universe.

he was on the cover to the first issue of Avengers Initiative

This week's Robin was awesome, except for the last page, but that just depends on where it's going

I have no problem with Nicieza taking over for Dixon. But it keeps looking like Tim is going to be Batman

I don't have a problem with Tim being Batman, but who will be his Robin? He seems to be not getting along with Stephanie, and who can blame him, really?

And on the front of Bruce not being Batman any more, I think I would dig it if he kept watch over things Oracle style from the batcave.

So I just read Anna Mercury and that is fucking awesome. Warren Ellis should be president of writing.

Also, pretty much the best premise for a videogame ever.

Not really. Well, yes, comic book, but the story is that there are eight parallel universes connected to Earth, all but invisible, and the G8 governments have known about it since 1938 when they accidentally teleported a battleship into one of them. Said world got kind of fucked up when a battleship suddenly appeared in the middle of a city, so our Earth feels kind of responsible and sends in agents to try and un-fuck it. Whenever we send something into one of the worlds, it boomerangs back after a while. Unless it's organic. Then it explodes. So Anna Mercury, and other agents, are given suits that extend the time they're in the world. The suits can also fuck with physics, giving them super-powers, but that drains the battery faster, and if they're still there when they run out of juice, they, you know, explode.

I've got to agree with Damien being the new robin as he seems like the only choice to me at this point.

    My moment of the week?

I went to Fan Expo Canada Today. I wasn't focused on Taking Pictures (I spent just over 3 hours getting signatures... Matt Fraction, Jeff Loeb and Steve Mcniven!), but I did take a few.

    Shitty pictures incoming.
    DSC00043.jpgDSC00042.jpg

    DSC00045.jpg

I saw this cute couple coming down an escalator across from me.

    DSC00048.jpg

The mega 64 guys had a booth.

    DSC00046.jpg

    Bought some swag.

    DSC00052.jpg
(First 12 issues of Doom 2099, and Deadpool's two first 4 issue minis.)

And the shit I got signed. I bought Long Halloween and the Iron Fist Trades today.

    DSC00050.jpg
Jeff Loeb (Long Halloween Softcover, Spider-man: Blue 1st issue and Hardcover)
Matt Fraction (Immortal Iron Fist Issue one and Hardcover, Immortal Iron Fist Green Mist of Death Special)
Steve McNiven (Old Man Logan #1 and 2. I got a bunch of Civil War stuff signed last year, and I forgot my Marvel Knights 4 issues at home...)

The only other thing I want to say is Matt Fraction is the most awesome guy ever. I want to hang out with him.

I asked him who's idea was it for the awesome page with Danny kicking the Hydra guy through the subway. He said "I dont like to take credit, but that was all me!"

My Moment of the week was winning tickets to the premier of Hellboy 2, giving a ticket to a buddy, going to the premier and having him win a bag of swag at a lottery before the movie. Said bag of loot contained 2 free tickets to any film of his choice, one of wich he gave to me as thanks for giving him one of my free tickets.

Then being informed that if I could present the premier ticket at a local comics store I would get 20% of on any item.

Showed up today and found they had gotten the latest TP of PS238.

All in all a good week for me.

BTW where is the PS238 love? the Series rocks and even has a Will Weathon cameo in it.
