I'm a terrible player, and a horrible person. I decided I was never going to get all those achievements.. .and... I... I used the unlocker.
Looking forward to eating a sandvich when I get home from work! (In game too.)
If you used it for the milestones, you are a good and smart person. Otherwise MAGET!
I am MAGET. Actually, I didn't know I could do that. I think I can "unachieve" the regular achievements though. Thanks!
When did the update come out? Tuesday? I already have 32 achievements. I'm sure if you stuck with it you would have gotten the weapons eventually.
Yea, for sure, but I only have the medic achievements because of PASMO (or whatever the hell the acronym is), and I never got any of the Pyro ones yet either. It's super slow going since they are all classes I don't play much of, but I still want to have fun with the occasional sandvich or backburner. So, I UNLOCKED.

Revival from [FRUIT ON!], I've decided to enter the realms of upgrading once again.
Newegg has the Radeon HD 3850 512MB GDDR2 for $89.99 with a $10 rebate. I can drop this Antec Basiq 500W power supply for $40. Should I run with this and grab extra ram later down the line?

What are you running? What are your specs right now?

Might want to consider a bigger power supply if you've got the budget, depending on the rest of your specs. As far as RAM goes, wait until a deal comes along with a nice rebate and jump on it. Check out slickdeals.net every now and again.

BEWARE the GDDR2 ram of this model, which is not GDDR3 like every single other 3850. THIS Saphire is the same price with rebate but with GDDR3 ram.
Personally I'd spring for the extra $20 and get this 3870.
As far as bigger power supplies go, 450 is the required for a 3850. I'd go with quality over a higher number, this Rosewill is sitting pretty running a 3850 in a computer I just put together.
How can I force Steam to download and install games onto a different hard drive? Apparently I don't have enough space for TF2 on C but I know I definitely do on F. Do I have to uninstall Steam and reinstall it on F?
You must have ALOT of stuff lol, how big is your C drive?

newegg is the way to go, and ram is cheap, around $100 for atleast 2 gigs of good ram...
Just come on when its being played, I guarantee you that there will be people complaining about being lost, or not understanding what to do. Then when we tell them to watch the video they don't want to!
Fuck, I never watched the video. But it's not hard. It's obviously an attack/defend map. Then you look at the little icons. Okay, so two points are available for Blu to take, one appears to be the last point.
So it's an attack/defend map where you have to defend two points at once. Spiffy. Then I just kind of assumed that the other points just gave them closer spawns or something if they got them. Too easy.
Now, obviously I was slightly wrong about the layout, but fuck just follow the signs. I still don't know exactly what the first four points actually do for the Blu team. I just know that I need to defend E, and I need to defend whatever other point is open to them. And I follow the signs to that point, or back to E.
This is not fucking rocket surgery. The maps takes like one or two playthroughs to learn at a basic level. Fuckers are just retarded.
Unless you have other complaints about Steel, which I understand. I have a few myself. But it being too "complicated," or "I don't know what to do," which is about half of what I hear when it comes up? Shut the fuck up, I feel dumber for having had to hear you.
I just wanted to get one more fuck in there. So fuck.
I was looking at the prices on Newegg, they pushed me a bit too close to the edge of my bank account with the card and PSU. The Sapphire card actually knocks $4 off the total price due to it's free shipping.
As for the PSU, what are the chances of me finding a beefier one for around the price with a 20+4 pin?
On Steel: B-D make it easier for BLU to capture E without scouts and demos while also blocking off possible flanking routes for RED eventually forcing them to walk through D to reach E. Basically you should just all watch the damn intro video as it explains all this.

It's quite easy to jump right in and play Steel. Blu (and I think Red) even have an updating map in their spawn telling them what they should go for and the easiest route to take to it (should I go through A or . Although I suggest everyone go try it in an empty server as blue and see exactly how capturing a point changes the map.
The point of the map is simple too: you can capture E at any time but each successive point captured makes it easier for blu and harder for red.
I forget exactly what A and B get you, although I know some doors open making it easier to get to E. But C lets the bridge out to E so classes other than soldiers, demos, and scouts can get there, and D moves the spawn of red making them go a lot farther to get to E to defend it (as opposed to spawning right next to it).
It's a great map with a lot of different possible scenarios depending on when you send your major force to E to try and take it. You really can make a full effort to get it at the beginning, or you can wait until you have every possibly advantage.
Also lots of custom maps have road maps in or around the spawn. Look at Science which everyone here is completely in love with and its GIANT WALL MAP. Nobody seems to have a problem with that.
EDIT: And the science map is a lot more detailed. The one in Steel is basically letters in circles with arrows saying, basically saying "you can get to D from A" or that after you cap B you can get to E from A or B. Since the map changes to make things easier for blu, it's helpful to keep an updated path.

That has a fan on the top, would I have to mod my case in anyway so that the fan isn't covered or could I simply drop the PSU in there and run?

A opens that huge-ass door at the A point that lets you get to D easier.
B closes down the forward Red spawn point that's connected to A and B, forcing them to spawn at the rear.
C puts the bridge up to E.
D closes the door from Red's spawn point that goes straight into E's room, making them have to go around to C or D to get there. It also raises railings on the bridges to E so it's harder to get knocked in the pit.

Im not 100% sure, because it was really difficult to uninstall it to begin with. Is steam difficult to uninstall?
