I can't remember if it was jonxp or job's server, but if you weren't on the one that had both teams going all heavies, then spies, then scouts, then medics, then demos, you missed out on a lot of fun.
Is arena_ravine any good? I think I only played it once when the update came out and we were soundly rolled for 2 rounds which lead to a mapswitch and I haven't seen it since.
It's pretty good, it has a bunch of different areas that suit advantages of all the classes, like how it should be.
So apparently the pyro has a flowery purse (2Fort). Evidence that there is actually a woman hiding beneath the mask and Valve has been planting clues all along?
There was an interview a while back where they referred to the pyro as a she randomly, and when asked further they said she is, in fact, female. Haha.
I believe you're referring to the one where they said "she" once, and then referred to "him" several more times, and when questioned more they said that they wanted to make female characters but didn't have the time to do so, so they were all male.

Here comes that "everyone should have voice chat" thing again. It's as crucial for spies as it is for medics.
"Hey, guys, I'm about to sap the sentry bank they have around the corner, so get ready."
9 times out of 10 the spy will die, but in situations where there are too many sentries and engies for a spy to take care of, I've seen this pulled off (I can count the number of times on one hand) where the attacking team absolutely crushes the defense. Sometimes the defense will assume that a sentry bank is so strong that they'll all essentially turtle behind it. When one spy sacrifices himself to sap everything so the offense can land rockets/pipes/Sasha bullets, forward momentum appears so quickly that the defense gets rocked.
Anyone know what the patch notes are for the new update?

Updates to Team Fortress 2 have been released. The updates will be applied automatically when your Steam client is restarted. The specific changes include:

* Fixed a bug that prevented the correct Arena stats from being uploaded
I already did about a month ago. Everyone should have gotten them by now. Send me an e-mail at the address I sent one to you from if you haven't received yours yet.

Man I think I like my 360 better just because of the way it handles voice chat. #1 it comes with a mic, #2 is the fact that the headset plays only the voices, whereas on the PC my headset plays all the game audio.

I would love it if Valve added that in at some point or time. Their sound system has been the only real complaint I've ever had (only uses default devices, and doesn't allow you to send voice separately).

Yesterday I jumped across a sentries line of sight to my heavy because the uber had just run out just too early and dozens of examples of this situation in my experience caused me to instinctively know he would just lose.
So I jumped across his line of sight, took off about half my health, and he killed it just as he died.
And then I was alive in enemy territory but the sentry was dead.
God that was a rush.
