Sorta eliminates the point of having a pre-game if you just hand the answer to all players, but whatever. You're Mr. Nice Guy. :P

I think it's fine giving out the answer in this case. There is no point of being an Elitist with a community of friends like this. It's all in good fun, plus how many people involved in the event are seriously going to get this extra hint? I can probably count on my hands the amount of people that will use this in the actual event.

Great job everyone and happy hunting!

    Exactly :)

I wonder if this ARG has anything to do with the Radical game?

The fact that you're posting in this thread indicates that you at least got some ideas from the rest of us. If you truly wanted to horde the answer for yourself, you should have stayed away from a thread where we were working together. :P

So take your elitist attitude and shove it, since you didn't exactly solve it in a vacuum.

Dude, whatever. Every person that asked me personally I answered their questions. I was plenty open discussing it on IRC. I had no problem helping people along if they were stuck. But saying I'm elitest because I disagree with posting the answer in the open for everyone and their mother and google to see? Yeah, fuck right off.

The thing is people helped you, you help them. As you can see we were all working together on the thread, you'll have to do the same at the ARG event. We would have all been stuck if not for me bringing up the previous solve, and Big Guy helped out in bringing up the scramble.

There is no harm is posting the stuff in spoilers. If people want to read them they can if not they dont. Keeping info to yourself is counter-intuitive.

for what it's worth, i agree with skarsol. It's one thing to help each other out or even give away the answer in PMs or whatever. But the whole hint thing is completely pointless now, since they can see that everyone has the clue. Has nothing to do with elitism.

Wow, thats ugly. this is the first time I've seen hostility in this forum, and I have to say it disappoints me. I thought I'd found the one corner of the web where people were not willing to fly off the handle over stupid shit. I'm not going to let a couple bad apples ruin the whole bunch, though. PAX forum still pwns.

So anyway, I got registered but didn't figure out the clue on the 'easy as...' page yet. Do I need something from there, or is being signed up enough?

I explicitly mentioned I wasn't keeping it to myself. The only thing I objected to was posting the result for all to see in a public forum.

Man i've never been on a forum where people have complained about posting the answer to an ARG puzzle. Every ARG i've done this hasn't been a problem.

Yeah this is pretty crazy. Everyone is generally nice here though, and i'm sure people will forget about this.

Anyway, the registration doesn't matter, the only things that matter are the 3 puzzles that lead to the location of the event itself and the 4th screen that pops up that leads to the contact email.

All I'm saying is, coming into a thread where everyone is collaborating as a team to find an answer, and then finger-wagging at them for sharing, with the team, the answer they've come up with, is a definite violation of Penny Arcade Rule #1:

    Don't be a Dick.

after following that link i found this:

    "IndieCade @ Penny Arcade Expo

IndieCade will join PAX this year at the Seattle Convention Center August 29 - 31. Focusing on indie ARGs and big games, IndieCade will integrate street games and live gameplay to the event."

Anybody know what it means by "street games"?

oh yeah....right below that it says:

"IndieCade @ E for All Expo

IndieCade has once again been invited to bring games, live gameplay, its trademark salons, innovative artwork, and the independent spirit to E for All. E for All will be held at the Los Angeles Convention Center October 3 - 5. "

So...we get street games and they get salons? what...are they going to get their hair done?

You cant anagram it because ..
    Once you get what the circled letters refer to, and remove G M A I L A T C O M you only have U R A C L E V E R O N E ... You're missing a Y O A and a E .

The letters are in the correct order if you follow the word list on the contacts page.
