NOOOOO what'd they do to the opening and ending credits to Zero Punctuation?

I think they did that because he kept using copyrighted material without permission and they got worried about being sued or something.

The samples were so short I'm pretty sure it would have fallen under fair use, but oh well.

If you have to actively dislike something because you think you are too old for it, you aren't old enough.

    Dru's got a point
It ain't exactly written as high class literature.
It's pretty much written for high school kids
    But you know what?
    That's fine. It's still enjoyable

Eh. Fuck 'em if they can't take a joke.

Listening to people who say that you should only like things written for your own age group would mean not enjoying Kipling's Just So Stories anymore. And that's a sacrifice I'm not willing to make.

    Read what you like.

I'm reading Shadow Puppets right now and it's a decent read. I don't have to think hard to get anything, but I don't care. It's just a cool little story to follow.

It wasn't the political thing, it's that it turned into like a romance and lifestyle story and everything, and it was all supporting characters with Bean trying to be Ender.

I thought it was weird when Peter Wiggin turned out not to be a sadistic monster and was actually just a really smart and likable guy.

It sort of makes Ender seem like a jerk for portraying him as a potential serial-murder.

Because a smart and likable guy can't also have sadistic tendencies.

The character of Peter Wiggin in the Bean series who helps his sister and his little brother's classmate solve the world's problems doesn't seem like the kind of person who would murder his own brother or mutilate animals for the sick thrill of it. They read like two totally different people, though I understand that Ender's version of Peter is at the very least a somewhat-misunderstood one.

Ender's version of Peter was also colored by Peter's treatment of him because Peter resented him for being the success
Of course that doesn't explain why Valentine thought he was a monster
She was the one who caught him skinning squirrels

I thought they explained in the Bean books that Peter really was a sociopath

sociopaths don't have any concept of morality

he only helped Bean and Petra and the world in general was because he considered it the most effective course of action

It must be really awkward to be Orson Scott Card's brother. What with all of his brutal sadistic sociopathic brother characters.

Family Christmas must be all like "Dude, I gave you noogies like that one time. You can stop making me set people on fire with my brain in your books now."
