Suck: 10% left on H Loatheb and my internet goes out and I miss out on the achievement. It's not too bad, I guess, since nothing I could use dropped (and I had already gotten something, and it was a guild running and bringing me along) and I'll probably get to kill him again.
Oh. For some reason when I read that announcement I thought sex was one of the things locked. I just reread it and you can in fact change your sex.
That's....odd. Why sex and not race I wonder?
Yes, I realize that question is wide open for some snarky replies.
I have a couple characters I'd like to swap around races on.
Some classes are tied to Race, also Racial Traits. Blizz is firm on only allowing you to change superfluous cosmetic things, such as names, hair, sex, and facial features.
Well, as long as your race change doesn't violate what classes the destination race is, I don't see the problem. Racials are the only non-cosmetic change, and honestly they're not that big of a deal. If you change your race you'd know your racials would change too.
Oh well. Time will tell if this is one of those things blizzard is "firm" on and eventually allow at a later date (i.e. PvE > PvP transfers), or if it is real firm. I'm not too worried about it, just thinking.

Do you really want people changing races en masse to follow nerfs and buffs to racials?
Racial mounts and reputation need to be taken into account, as well.
I dunno, I just don't think that changes they make to racials are going to be so big/small as to justify paying to change a race solely on the basis of a minor skill. WotF nerf not withstanding way back when, most racials have become class skills or made to be a nice "perk" but nothing major for a class.
Reputations are something that would be effected though I suppose. It would get a big complex with things like the human rep buff or the reps you start with. But again, some solution could be figured out I think.
Really though, like I said, I don't care that much, I just don't think the drawbacks of changing race are that big of a deal. It would be nice to have the option but not having it doesn't really effect anything. I'm highly unlikely to pay to change the way my character looks and/or their name unless there were some very unique circumstances anyway. So yeah. Just pondering.
EDIT: The only reason I care is because I have this mental thing with not being able to create a character that's the same race or class as a character I already have. I've broken this rule with my human DK though (already had a human character); though my intent isn't/wasn't to make it my "main" DK should I ever focus on the class. My undead DK was/is to be my "main" DK, as that's the only race I don't have a character already established.
That is one of the best screenshots i have seen on here. Graphics look awesome.
It would've looked even better if I had something better then paint to compress with. (I'm missing the CD with the image editor program I had on my old computer.)
The amazing thing is that you still only come up to the thighs of Thryme. i saw a comic about that quest. lemme dig it up. http://www.darklegacycomics.com/167.html
Ugh, undead and belfs as far as the eye can see. Hideous sight.
Whatever happened to trolls and orcs?
I think there are so many BEs because during TBC people rolled characters that they actually wanted to play for fun as alts and eventually got to 70. Then when they realized they actually liked these classes more than their original so decided to make it their main in WotLK. This is at least what happened to me.

Yeah, me too, pretty much. I rolled the character because I was being silly, and hit 70 because I was enjoying myself.
End on
I wish that someway, somehow, that I could save every one of us
I ended up with 3 female belfs because I didn't like the way mage gear looked for trolls and already had an undead priest, had a rl friend with a male paladin, and really really liked the way engineering goggles look on them for my death knight.

That was one of the best quests in all of Northrend.

As the others said, it's the Royal Crest of Lordaeron.
You have no idea how happy I was when it dropped for me two days ago.
So happy.

Don't you know that you can sex change in WOW now? :winky:

I don't see why Blizzard wouldn't want people to do exactly that.

$15 per change.
10,000 changes = 150,000
100,000 changes = 1,500,000
Good Money.
I'd pay.
15 bucks for 1 less day of grinding? Really? That absurd.
If they did race changes I would hope it would be a one time deal per character. No take backs.
If there's a way to save screenshots as bmp or to take hi-res screenshots I'd love to hear.

Posted this in the CoX thread but figured it could go here for increased appreciation.
My villain is, indeed, the villain with the most spirit. He has a hat.
A lot of people make more than that if they work one extra hour at work.
Well, people are already paying hundreds for gold or powerleveling services.
Or character accounts with all EPICs.
The China Gold Seller/Power Leveling service is a Million dollar industry.
That the china government started taxing them.

Its not the money. I've paid for transfers several times.
Its just the ridiculous idea of changing your race to maybe save one day or so of rep grinding.
