American Presidency: It's a beautiful day - Obama & Biden together at last
Posts
I feel better about Biden having read that than worse.
Sorry about your sour grapes there little girl. Also, do something about your face.
popular feminist?
I feel bad every time I accidentally click a link to shakespeare, because it's giving them a page hit. People like that shouldn't be encouraged.
Fact: Pawlenty made Molnau head of the Minnesota DOT. Molnau did a terrible job, including admitting that she never even looked at the bridge inspection reports. When the state legislature removed her, Pawlenty criticized their decision.
Fact: Pawlenty repeatedly vetoed funding for infrastructure and road maintenance, partially because of his campaign pledge to not raise taxes.
Fact: When engineers recommended that extensive tests be performed on the I-35 bridge in particular, Minnesota DOT refused due to budget shortfalls.
Now, Pawlenty was not the sole or even the primary cause of the collapse. But he may have had a great deal to do with the fact that the bridge hadn't been shut down months before the bridge fell down.
If you're a real Biden fan then you should see the injustice in this nomination. Style over substance is the Democrat's failure... again.
Now I can more easily tell the world I've drunk the Kool Aid!
It tastes like hope. With a vague hint of fruit punch.

If we're going to start attacking people based on lack of substance, maybe we should first focus on the guy who's trying to swing having his plane shot down as a qualification for being president.

Some one called that earlier in either this thread or the old one. So predictable.
Hey, don't forget that he also trashed four other planes before that. The guy knows how to spend the government's money.
Damn man, it's like I can write the Republican talking points for them.
I wonder why those tired old comments always come out - and who really believes them?
Well, the plane he lost on the USS Forrestal due to that fire wasn't really his fault, so I'd say he only lost four planes.

My grandmother, who was wary of Obama but dislikes McCain, seems to love Biden and has pushed her further towards voting for our Glorious Hope Marshal. Go, Joe Biden! Appeal to Clinton supporters and the elderly!
FireDogLake is leading a email campaign against Ron Fournier. He's the relatively new AP Washington Bureau Chief who was recruited heavily by the McCain campaign, who was caught personally contacting Karl Rove to tell him to "keep fighting" as the White House covered up Pat Tillman's death, and who most recently had a hit piece up by 2 am last night about Obama's selection of Biden, within at most an hour or two of the first hint of confirmation.
Click on the firedoglake link (they pre-generate a sample letter for you if you don't have time) to build up their numbers, and send something (even a copy/paste) to his boss or call if you have the time. So you really don't get the difference in the services at all, on any level, not even the most basic.
FYI a ships captain does have more powers then a base commanders. Even base commanders have different powers depending on what nation their base is in.
But I guess you're right. Lobbing a tomahawk is the same range as firing a motar, and it's all the same. Just like being the captain of a ship in international waters is the same as comanding a base in the USA.
I've seen BS before, and I've seen outright deluded, you take your pick. It's a mix of both though, you win a special prize.
His father was at the bottom of his class, McCain was at the bottom of his class and his son was at the bottom of his class. They all happened to be well connected and wealthy.

Done.
It has gotten very obvious.

Different branches develope different views on situations due to built in capabilities. I don't think you can deny that, and it seems like you're both arguing about semantics aside the point.
I didn't attack individual people you mental midget. Biden is way more qualified to be President than Obama, everyone here knows that.
I'm really not worried anyways. It's trending towards McCain and will be cemented during the debates.

She didn't vote for Kerry because he "seemed like a huge fairy."
Listening to my mom talk about things sometimes make me feel bad for myself, and then America because I know there are millions like her, and then myself again.
To be fair, they probably are.
"Did you know he was a POW?"
That sounds like the Kerry of that campaign.
According to CNN, the McCain campaign is claiming that the Obama camp sent out the veep message at 3 AM as "one last inside baseball" attack on Hillary Clinton.
We all assumed it was intentional. I'm just kind of dubious it was an explicit "Fuck you." as much as a "Look at me now, bitches. Who's not ready to do the job?"
Uh, I assume it was entirely coincidental. The story broke at what, 2 AM on the east coast? They followed it up shortly thereafter with the texts since the cat was already out of the bag.
that's why we call it the struggle, you're supposed to sweat
Mmm. Ad hominem attacks. It tastes like... victory. And fruit punch. But mostly victory.
First, saying that you're not attacking anyone specific is a pretty naive argument to make. "Style over substance", as you said. How is that not an attack on Obama? Just because you don't say his name doesn't make it any less blatantly obvious.
Second, I'd like to see what qualifications he has that makes him so much "better" than Obama. One could argue that his six terms in the senate and vast foreign policy experience make him a heavyweight compared to the relatively "inexperienced" senator from Illinois. Except for this: experience means nothing on its own. Some of the worst presidents of the 20th century had burgeoning tankers of Washington experience under their belt.
Does experience help? Sure, it's always nice to know the lay of the land, but it isn't an MMORPG. Having more experience doesn't automatically make you better than everyone else playing the game.
Before making slams on members of the forum, it would probably be best to at least make some sort of defensible argument.
Enjoy your stay, as brief as I'm sure it will be.

Given he's claiming the forum that voted for Obama by about 96% in the primaries, "knows" that Biden would be better than Obama, I'm thinking trolling.
And would I prefer Biden were at the head of the ticket? Absolutely. Was Barack Obama my second choice? Fuck yes. Am I happy with this ticket? You're goddamn right I am.
