My first thought was WB was putting all their DC stuff on hold so they can find out how much of it is owned by Fox.

So, this game inFamous looks pretty cool.

Man, Prototype is looking cooler to me, especially those last two vids... The second one where he sweeps all those cars away with the huge tentacle arm? Awesome. I was just wondering what happened to that game, glad to see its still on track.

The think about prototype that's intriguing is that the Hulk: Ultimate Destruction team is making it, apparently

Probably put them on hold while they try to figure out how to make all of them dark and broody like those only two good films they did. "That must be the secret! Quick, to the broody-mobile!".

Honestly, from everything I've read, that seems to be where they're going. I don't know how dumb you have to be to think people only enjoyed Batman Begins/TDK because they were all edgy and moody. I don't know how they explain Iron Man's success as a pretty lighthearted action-comedy. I just don't know what the fuck.

I'm honestly hoping this new trend will mimic the comic industry of the early-to-mid 90's, and we finally get some badass, dark as fuck movies about Gunfire, the Blood Pack, and Dr. Light.

Isn't it funny that this Dark n' Brooding™ portrayal of Batman and the likely success of the Watchmen movie will probably usher in a Grim n' Gritty™ era of comic book movies? Look for Spider-Man 4: Maximum Carnage next summer!
Also inFamous is looking more and more awesome.

Yeah, I noticed that as well. I missed whichever one was two weeks ago, but the Wildcat/Outsiders one was kinda shitty.

I do appreciate what the show is doing for the DCU's minor characters, though. I realized it's because of them that I like the DCU so much.

Flash and Dark Knight sequel writer David Goyer tells IESB that 'A lot of the DC movies at Warner Brothers are all on hold'.

    Well, shit.

    According to Marc Guggenheim:
"I don't think David was referring to Green Lantern. I think David was referring to other properties. That doesn't jibe with the information that I've been getting," Guggenheim said.

That assessment would agree with what Guggenheim told Newsarama in October, when the writer said the Hal Jordan-centered film, which he co-wrote with Berlanti and Superman/Batman scribe Michael Green, was moving along in pre-production, unaffected by any of the rumored reworking that other DC projects were experiencing at Warner Bros. "It hasn't really affected this project in the least," he said at the time.

    Emily Blunt as Black Widow?
Emily Blunt has emerged as the front-runner to play Natasha Romanoff in the Iron Man sequel, the trade paper reported. She's a Soviet superspy who doubles as Black Widow, a beauty in a skintight black costume enhanced by high-tech weaponry.

Blunt, whose credits include The Devil Wears Prada, will get a profile boost when she stars with Benicio Del Toro in the Joe Johnston-directed The Wolfman for Universal.

The Ted Kord version of the Blue Beetle will be featured in both the teaser and main portions of "Fall of the Blue Beetle!," the Friday, Jan. 23 episode of Cartoon Network's Batman: The Brave and the Bold.

Wil Wheaton will voice the character. Wheaton's other animation credits include Cosmic Boy in Legion of Super-Heroes and Aqualad in Teen Titans.

Well it is called Fall of the Blue Beetle, and involves Jaime investigating the legacy of the Blue Beetles. So I wouldn't be surprised if he does die/is long since dead in the episode. Though that feels a little dark for BatB. From what I've read, the story will involve Jaime visiting "Science Island" and battling robots. Which I imagine is a callback to Dan Garrett's death on Pago Island, where he was killed by robots.

Brave and the Bold actually has one of the darkest Christmas episodes ever.
    Bruce's parents died on Christmas.
Because he didn't like his Christmas present, they tried to make it up to him by taking him to a movie.D:

So i've read in a couple places now that Sam Jackson isn't going to be Nick Fury anymore.

Seriously, how hard can one studio manage to fuck up their precious "shared universe" and all sense of continuity before even ONE sequel comes out.

I fully expect to hear in two weeks that RDJ has been replaced by Nic Cage (it's okay folks, he's a comic fan!), and the character of Pepper Potts is now a backtalking squirrel.

To be fair it was James Rhodes, now it's James Rhodes and Nick Fury. They're two pretty main characters in the Iron Man story, who were both set up well and now are going to be recast before the second movie even hits. It just doesn't bode well for the future, is all.
