I'm glad the game is acknowledging the universe around it, really. I mean, that stuff is tearing up NY, you think at least a few local heroes would come out to play.

I'd love to see unlockable playable characters. Specifically: Daredevil.

I think Wolverine is probably a given. I expect they'll let him web-sling or something like that by way of the symbiote, so you don't have to run and climb everywhere.

I wouldn't be surprised to see Iron Man too. Flying around and shooting stuff should be easy enough.

Man, it'd be great if Punisher could be unlocked. And the game would become an FPS. It could be a secret unlockable, like GTA's scandalous one a while ago.

You guys are going to get my hopes up.

Then it's going to be like Spiderman 3 where I have to buy the damn characters if I want to play as them.

You should see the Galactus on his back!

Yeah, I really hate the box art. The placement of wolverine just seems really random. Actually looks like a fan mock up to me. A really bad one.

It must be a mockup because you can barely make out the subtitle against Spider-Man in the background. Its just atrocious and shouldn't fly through any marketing department.

Holy crap. This is a videogame based on a comic book- would it be too much to ask to have a decent artist do the damned cover?

    Still, really, really good.

    Plus ALAN SCOTT

That sounds great! Well up until the authors little unneeded rant.

Other than that though it sounds like i might not be let down by my favorite super's movie. And thank goodness no Angel playing Hal.

Have they made any sort of announcement as to how long of a game Lego Batman is? I'm getting super pumped for it, and I hope its really long. I loved Lego Star Wars and Lego Indy, but I thought Indy was a tad too short. Since this is an original story, there's no rule that says the have to do 6 missions per movie like they've done in the past.

The Lego games are just pure fun, especially when you play them co-op with a friend. I'm really looking forward to this game.

    Wow...that's pretty bad.

If by "bad" you mean in the Powerglove usage of the word, where it means "ridiculous things on your hands."

By which I mean, yes, that's pretty dumb-looking.

    Nope
McLovin is playing the son of a drug lord who's obsessed with killing Dave
So he becomes a vigilante to do just that

It's just easier to call him McLovin because then people know who you're talking about

And this Drug lord's son is a kid as old as Kick-Ass but is shy and more awkward than Kick-ass.

Like I said.. It's pretty good casting from what I know of the character...

Virral, watch it with someone easily offended. It's funnier that way because they're all laughing but pissed that they're laughing.
    Fogell: Yo guys! Sup?
Seth: Fogell, where have you been, man? You almost gave me a goddamn heart attack. Let me see it. Did you pussy out or what?
Fogell: No noooo, man. I got it; it is flawless. Check it!
Evan: [examining the fake ID] Hawaii. All right, that's good. That's hard to trace, I guess. Wait... you changed your name to... McLovin?
    Fogell: Yeah.
Evan: McLovin? What kind of a stupid name is that, Fogell? What, are you trying to be an Irish R&B singer?
Fogell: Naw, they let you pick any name you want when you get down there.
Seth: And you landed on McLovin...
Fogell: Yeah. It was between that or Muhammed.
Seth: Why the FUCK would it be between THAT or Muhammed? Why don't you just pick a common name like a normal person?
Fogell: Muhammed is the most commonly used name on Earth. Read a fucking book for once.
Evan: Fogell, have you actually ever met anyone named Muhammed?
Fogell: Have YOU actually ever met anyone named McLovin?
Seth: No, that's why you picked a dumb fucking name!
    Fogell: Fuck you.
Seth: Gimme that. All right, you look like a future pedophile in this picture, number 1. Number 2: it doesn't even have a first name, it just says "McLovin"!
Evan: What? One name? ONE NAME? Who are you? Seal?
Seth: Fogell, this ID says that you're 25 years old. Why wouldn't you just put 21, man?
Fogell: Seth, Seth, Seth. Listen up, ass-face: every day, hundreds of kids go into the liquor store with fake IDs, and every single one says they're 21. Pssh, how many 21 year olds do you think there are in this town? It's called fucking strategy, all right?
Evan: Stay calm, okay? Let's not lose our heads. It's... it's a fine ID; it'll... it's gonna work. It's passable, okay? This isn't terrible. I mean, it's up to you, Fogell. This guy is either gonna think 'Here's another kid with a fake ID' or 'Here's McLovin, a 25 year-old Hawaiian organ donor'. Okay? So what's it gonna be?
Fogell: [grinning] ... I am McLovin!
Seth: No you're not. No one's McLovin. McLovin's never existed because that's a made up dumb FUCKING FAIRY TALE NAME, YOU FUCK!

the montage of drawings they show early on had me almost literally rolling in the isles with laffos. it'd be tough to think of the last joke from a movie that made me laugh as hard and as long as that joke did (ho ho!)

My memory was jogged a bit by sportz's transcript, I do vaguely remember a Superbad ad with a fake ID. Was the movie super popular in the states or something? I know what movie you're talking about now, but don't think it was particularly huge down here or anything.

Meandering back on topic, is it just me or is it REALLY wierd to have a movie underway for a comic with like 2 issues out?
