WTB: Tim Horton's Coffee

edited August 2008 in PAX Archive
Would anyone who's coming in from Canada be willing to bring a 369g can of Tim Horton's coffee, fine grind, NOT decaf? I don't know what they retail for nowadays, but I'll pay a small premium on whatever it costs, in your choice of CAD or USD. Reply in thread if you're willing and able, and we can work out the details in PM.

I could certainly hook you up with that. They've also got a 1.1 kg (39 oz.) fine ground can too.

Dude, I haven't heard back from the guy who said he would get me some Timbits. If you can get me a variety of them I'll pay a little more than they costed.

I'm waiting for the day when the DEA adds anything with Tim Horton's name on it to some sort of drug list.

Making it the hottest new street drug in America.

Well I could bring some, but I'm flying down thursday. They would be just a TAD stale by the time I got in line Friday. Plus I would eat them.

I take it there is no Tim Hortons anywhere close then, right? I think I'll bring my own can down then. I'll think about bringing more, if I can get a show of hands on who would care.

There's no Tim Horton's in Seattle? Strange, I figured there would be.

I think that's a little too far of a commute.

I don't suppose they've got Dunkin Donuts nearby?

    We're Seattle. We don't need Tim Horton's.

Seriously though, I've never heard of it.

It's... honestly like crack for Canadians. Tim Hortons is a cultural experience for a lot of people, as Canadian as hockey and beavers. I don't really like their coffee, but I'm a coffee snob. Their baked goods? Delicious!

I love Tim Hortons and I love Timbits, but people...if you're coming in from out of state....you should aim a little higher. It's like flying into the city of New York, with all it's world famous pizzerias, and paying someone to bring you a pie from Dominos or Pizza Hut. Tim Hortons is good and all....but seriously, you can do better.

You want good coffee and donuts in Seattle? I recommend you try the custom blends and fresh baked donuts at Top Pot . There are several nearby the con. I'm sure other locals can chime in with their favorite spots in town...but that's one place I suggest you try.

Alternatively, there's this little local coffee shop called Starbucks you could try....:winky:

I'm actually gonna do my stupid blog thing where I want to try a different coffee and pastry every day from a different Seattle coffee house.

    Yay for too much sugar!

Seconded! Timmy's is indeed crack for canucks.
I actually don't mind the coffee, but I can't handle the sugar load of the donuts.
    Sandwiches are pretty good there.

NB: they are owned by Wendy's

Seattle is like the coffee capital of the world. Try stumptown coffee if you can find it.
