I AM HAVING AN AFTER PARTY AT THE HILTON HOMEWOOD SUITES!!! I HAVE A TWO BEDROOM SUITE, BYOC, XBOX360, A DJ, AND DRANKIN'!!!!

Anyway, if you are interested, I will give you a flyer for it as I only have enough room for so many.

But...if you wish, email me at [email protected] and I will give you the information.

    It's the 28th, the 29th, and the 31st

    See you there!

Guys, this is the party I was talking about. Holey gave me some of the details the other day and it sounded awesome. Looking forward to seeing some of you guys there!

    DJ?

Are you confused about the meaning, or who the DJ is?

I'm not used to DJ's in hotel rooms.

That's like me having a ska band in my kitchen.

I think I hate you for bringing back horrible memories of that Six Flags commercial.

    I hated that ad campaign.

    I may or may not host a small (like ten or fifteen people) party. Maybe. Depends on how many cool people I meet. And I say host, meaning offering a location. I can't go buy people booze, and I have no consoles, except my GameCube. ;_;

is anyone else here like me in the fact that i'd rather host a party than go to one?

Holy crap, I didn't realize there were this many people that wanted to get in on a party and didn't know of one already... Ok I'll contact the guy running it and tell him to post details in this thread instead of having you all PM me.

And no it isn't fake, leaf I have no reason why you would even suggest that.

Not singling you out at all, I'm just saying it happened last year.

A word of caution to those planning parties: It's a BAD IDEA to publicize your party location and time on a public forum. It will explode beyond control, and checking for flyers won't necessarily keep strangers out of your room.

That surprises me. Unless you pissed somebody off....

Hah no, it was actually a pretty large misdirection, since a bunch of people all got it from someone else, and were spreading the word themselves (thinking they were helping out by also passing on the word of a party). It spread quite a bit, kind of hilarious in hindsight. I passed several groups on the way back that had been told the same thing.

This. Even though I'd like to have a gathering (party, whateva) planned to go to after PAX each night I'm honestly just going to 1) see whats happenin' in my hotel and 2) simply ask around with people I chat with during the day as long as it deems appropriate in the conversation we are having (aka make friends). I don't recommend posting about parties here and if you are not the organizer of a party but are going to one, get permission before inviting others, mmkay? Hotel parties are not house parties and need to be regulated (regulatooooors!) otherwise they can very possibly die a quick death and the night will be ruined for all.
