It's kinda a pain in the ass that Super Dodge Ball gets thrown into MM9's shadow but I can think of no punishment better for Vectorman than to be swallowed up by the thing you shamelessly aped whilst being on the opposite side of the scale of Graphics over Gameplay.
Fuck Vectorman with a rusty knife. Fuck it and it's Streets of Rage cockblocking ways.
Vectorman is another fine case of DKC syndrome.
Mediocre game, pretty graphics.
Precisely. (Decent music too, though.)
I adored Vectorman in my younger days, but it's painfully short and easy. I can name at least 5 or 6 sidescrolling shooter type games on the Genesis that I'd pick over it.
Really? People hated Vectorman?! REALLY? Wow. I mean, I can understand hating a lot of games... But... Vectorman?
Beyond the fact that it's a realy mediocore game that ruthlessly attempts to be the bastard child of megaman and Contra but comes off as some mutant offshot?
Well, it Cockblocked Streets Of Rage and hence satisfied the Sonic Cycle for Sonic Gems Collection for one thing.
Oh man Super Turrican 2 was pretty good. Also, online Bomberman is about as close as you can come to a sure thing when looking for simple, online enjoyment. Next to maybe Tetris, anyway. Can't wait to fire that one up.
edit: as long as it's classic style Bomberman. None of this 3D shit. Overhead all the way.
Super Mario Bros. 3
Mega Man 9
The Legend of Zelda
LOZ: A link to the Past
Super Mario World
Kirby's Adventure
Paper Mario
Pokemon Snap
Act Raiser
Donkey Kong Country
Sonic the Hedgehog 2
Super Mario RPG
Now I know what you are thinkin: Mario and Zelda 64 right? Well I have those games on my original 64 and won't rebuy them til the battery runs dry.
So I have one spot left on two pages on my Wii. I have all the free channels, internet, and Mario Kart Channel.

The Dr. Mario game on WiiWare is pretty good if you like Dr. Mario.

Just for the record, Super Turrican 2 is amazing. I like it a lot more than Contra 3. It has some of the best graphics and effects on the SNES, and the soundtrack is amazing. It's a lot more linear than the other Turrican games (no giant mazes), but it is a fantastic game nonetheless.

As a Treasure fanboy, I can easily recommend Gunstar Heroes and Sin & Punishment.
Is that like Metroid Prime at all? I tried getting into Prime last year and I made it to that one boss who you have to shoot the sunlight away from (no name) and I didn't like it very much. It just wasn't for me.
I know it isn't in FPS format, but what makes Super Metroid it a great game?

It might be the most immersive 2d game ever made. Flawless controls, great music, epic bosses, a beautifully conceived world... you need this game if for no other reason than its an absolute classic that you have yet to experience.

I just might purchase that tonight after work. I haven't bought a single game on VC I regretted. Hopefully this will be pretty good. I have heard good things for years now and I just have not had the chance to try it.
No, the transfer pack doesn't fit in the Wiimote. Ask me how I know.
How do you know that the transfer pak doesn't fit in the Wii remote?
N64 games on VC lacking Transfer Pak capabilities is understandable, but it's bullshit that you can't save ghost data in Mario Kart 64 because the Controller Pak isn't emulated and that there isn't rumble. If third-party emulators can do it, then Nintendo sure as hell can make one that can do it too.
I owned SNES a long time ago. But on SEGA, I definitely remember it having an extra level near the end and better sound (although the music was softer.)

It's the Megadrive version.
What is that? I don't remember that in the 90's.
It's the Genesis. Megadrive was it's crazy European name.

Don't mess with me, man ... *stares at bronzed SoM cart on his wall*
Although not nearly as much of a chore as clearing some of those MM9 levels. o_O

Also, how is Dodgeball?
A great game that my brother and I and our friends spent way too much time playing back in the day.
Mediocre game, pretty graphics.

Do you have anything against Bomberman?
I went back and played Bomberman 64, and I didn't enjoy it as much as when I was a kid.
Same thing happened when I was playing Earthworm Jim.
Nothing against them, they were just so much better as a child.

Well bomberman 64 had spherical bombs, that didn't work so well as the standard cross bombs the rest of the series uses.
