This does seems like a medical emergency, because I feel fine otherwise, but I've been really exhausted and just wanting to sleep all day. It started last night when I was sitting on my couch watching TV for a little bit and I started to feel a little tired, so I lay back on the couch to relax. The next thing I know, it's after 10AM and I'm stretched out on the couch with my arms over my head and they're both asleep, which was a little weird in and of itself. I twist my way off the couch and get some circulation back in my arms. I'm feeling very groggy, and I'm only up for about an hour and a half before I start to feel really exhausted to the point where I have to crawl into bed and fall asleep again for about three hours. I wake up again for about an hour and a half, then fall asleep again for about three hours. Etc.
What could be causing this? Am I possibly getting sick? I've been working out a little more lately, so I should have more energy. I've been eating better. I did have mono several years ago. Could I be having some kind of a relapse? I don't think it's stress. The only condition out of the ordinary was going on a first date with a girl yesterday afternoon, but it was far from stressful or anything (actually, it was quite pleasant and I think it went really well; she's really cool, but that's a different subject). My mother has a history of thyroid issues, but when I've been checked, everything has come back normal (last time was about two years ago). Is this anything to actually worry about, or just horribly inconvenient?
sounds to me like you aren't eating right... are you eating 3 square meals a day, and getting all your vitamins?
i would not call this an emergency at all. you're just tired, get some rest, eat some healthy food, and if it is the same in a couple days, then see a doctor.
You could just be coming down with something. Alternatively, you could indeed be relapsing with mono; my doctor warned me that it was a possibility. If this keeps up for more than a couple days, go to the doctor. In the meantime, eat regular, healthy meals, don't lift heavy objects, and try going to bed earlier.
Do you have swollen glands around your neck? It could be a mono relapse type of thing. If it persists for more than a couple days, I'd see a doc just in case.

I don't believe it - I'm on my THIRD PS3, and my FIRST XBOX360. What the heck?
No swollen glands. I'm not sure why I didn't check something so obvious until now, but it's still a negative. I'm having trouble getting up and moving around today again, although I don't feel worse, just a little dehydrated. I'll try to get some healthy food in me and maybe lay off the exercise for a couple of days just in case.

Gatorade (or similar) might be a good idea.

Just fatigue. I feel mostly fine otherwise, just a little dehydrated, which I think is because of the warm weather and that I've mostly been sleeping, which kind of precludes getting up to drink much water.
Any big work stuff your stressing about? Nothing makes me sleep the day away like the crippling fear of Dissertation.

It's just one of those days. Drink some Gatorade and have a decent dinner, see if that can set you right.
Don't rule out the fact that you maybe used up a lot of energy on your first date, as in you had some positive stress and you were more tired than you felt.
Mono will relapse, but it is usually (not always) accompanied by strep-like symptoms. However, if it continues for more than a day or so, you should still see a doctor.
