Did anyone really notice (or care) that Bungie can apparently have a 'message of the day' when you start Halo now? I always wondered why they didn't use that vast space on the main menu for a MOTD but I guess someone thought that too and added the ability to do global messages in the patch.
Also I was just kind pissed at how crap 08 was, they made no effort to fix the sound issues at concerts from 07 and there were mile long lines for everything. I'm still mad because I didn't even make it into the keynote.
Just selling as many passes as they could bit them in the ass pretty hard.
I'm not sure I'm going to pax But ya- They had too many people this year. They really should limit attendance.
Good games folks - I seem to be causing a load of lag right now so I think I need to really sort out my router/wireless dongle setup. Old house, thick walls and floors, router on floor above. Sigh.

But isn't Halo 3 only 30 or 40 bucks nowadays? You'd only get 10 dollars max from GameStop, although if the disc is screwed as you say, you really don't have much of a choice.
But how did you manage to burn out a game that only turned a year old? My old copy of Link to the Past on my SNES still works just fine.

I've no idea. What I think happened is that someone (i think it might have been the missus) was removing it too harshly from the case and it broke. there's a definite crack on the inner ring, that extends to the holographic ring and i think a little bit into the actual disc. no matter what, it says its unplayable. the 360 plays other games fine, but not halo. soooooooooooooo gamestop gets screwed.

If you bring it to walmart, without a receipt, you can just tell him you got it as a gift recently, and they'll replace it with a new copy.
Yeah, its deceitful, but it works. I replaced my RB1 disc 3 times that way, due to the stupid horribly grinding noise when the xbox tips over.

Oh hey it's Nebraska football television season. Expect me to disappear on Saturdays now.
I was letting people play RB2 before and during the game. Everyone likes it.
I might be on Halo tonight, but I might want to do some singleplayer CC or something. Not going to do another annual run for a while though, there's just something very taxing about doing that and after completing it, you get this awesome feeling but man you just don't want to do that again for a while.
I really wish one of the new achievements was something like a total score between all levels though. Campaign vidmaster achievements = awesome.
