Welcome to PAX QUEST 2008!

We are 3 lowly NPCs who wander aimlessly about the con getting others to do our dirty bidding all in the name of delicious snacks and oh so juicy rep. Look for us wandering around sporting funky headwear and giant yellow exclamation marks that just scream QUEST!
Each of us represent a faction: Red, Green, and Blue. To complete quests, all you really need is a camera and lots and lots of energy and persistence!

Who are you people?
We are
- Changus McCloud - Green faction
- Kimog Kupopo - Blue faction
- Steve - Red faction

Where will we find you?

In the exhibit hall, among the free play areas, and making rounds among the lines

What kinds of quests are you giving?
Here are a few examples of the quests we plan to give:
Dance the Line (Video Quest) - Prior to 2004, few knew of John Gabriel's mastery of the ancient art of line dancing. Alas his career with the Kansas City Hotsteppers was put to a tragic end due to injury at that year's Lonestar Showdown. Do Gabe proud by filming a line dance of at least ten people.
Ultimate Mastery (Screenshot Quest) - In order to be the ultimate fighter, one must be able to not only defeat their opponent but do it with a totally badass finishing move. Capture a screenshot of a Critical Finish in Soul Calibur 4
EnForce-Choke (Photo Quest) - The security of PAX is ensured by the PAX Enforcers, an elite team of sentinels trained from birth by the most evil of Sith lords to deal with any and all threats to the convention. Photograph an Enforcer performing the force-choke on a would-be troublemaker.
Rabbit Recon (Recon Quest) - It has come to our attention that there is a suspicious bunny making the rounds around the convention doing... stuff. We have only heard it referred to as Marissa's bunny. Find out what it's name, mission, and provide recon photos.

I have some great quest ideas of my own...
By all means we are happy to use your ideas! There can never be too many quests, and since this is our first time at PAX, we are more than happy to take suggestions from hardened veterans or even other newcomers!

What kind of loot can we get?
Loads of tooth-decaying candies. And possibly some other.. stuff

When will you be there?
Changus and Steve will be there all 3 days of the con. Kimog will be there Saturday and Sunday only

How do I get started?
Here is a nice quest to get you started

I'm here to say on behalf of myself and the other PAX NPCs thanks to all who participated in PAX Quest 2008. We handed out about 1000 quests over three days and had between 60 and 100 unique parties complete at least one quest. We had about three "super parties" including the party known only as "The Four" who completed about six quests and were one of only two that completed the Portal quest (I'm genuinely surprised anyone completed this one at all!).

We three NPCs were each killed for the assassination quest about ten times throughout the convention. Here are some of the more unique assassination methods:

    death by Nintendo DS
    death by paper airplanes
    death by safety pin
    death by exclamation mark
    death by magic trick
    death by drum stick
    death by poisoned stickers

    See you all next year!
