Moving out without 60 day notice...

My lease ends on September 7th, and up until a few days ago, I planned on staying on a month to month basis. Something came up, and now I need to move out. Is there any chance I could negotiate my way out of this situation or am I pretty much going to have to fork over an extra 2 months rent?

Most land lords will work with you. You may be able to skip out and just lose your security deposit. (Not sure if they can hit your credit for that though)

Yeah, talk to your landlord. Find out what they expect, and especially find out what the lease requires.

It's going to depend on where you live. Tenant laws are very different in different locations. Are you sure it's 60 days where you are? Also, check your lease closely, as sometimes there is a section in the lease that details what happens if you don't move out when the lease expires.

And talk to your landlord. Sometimes they're nice, and you might be able to work something out easily.
