    When I made the comment about Water types being so good, it was more about how many resistances Water gets versus the weaknesses, I think. Also, not sure if it's easy enough for five year olds to -beat-, but it's certainly OCD-inspiring enough to give them hours of fun!

    Water has 4 resistances. Not that much considering that one of them is steel.

    But Fire, Ice and Water are pretty good resistances to have. Electric and Grass aren't great weaknesses, but you can coax Electric attacks out into Ground-types and Electivire nicely with Water types out. (Though I would probably just use Grass-type attacks for that very reason.)

    Quick question for anyone who plays the tcg:

    How is the weakness calculated on these new cards? (I haven't played in a loooooong time) Usually you just do double damage but most cards I see have an energy type and a + something under weakness. Does this mean double damage + whatever or just the normal attack amount plus how ever much +?

    Normal attack amount plus however much is after the + sign.

    I'm not sure I understand your question, but I thought that weaknesses doubled the damage and resistances substracted 30 damage after applying everything, but then again I haven't played the TCG since Team Rocket.

    My suggestion:

    If you have Pokérus and the Power Items, man up and EV train. It should only take an hour or two.

    If you -don't- have Pokérus and the Power Items, you have my sympathies. Someone here can surely give you Pokérus, though.

    Train a couple of sweepers? EVing for 252 Atk/SpA and Spd isn't too hard. HP and Sp Def on the other hand...

    HP is easy. Bidoof girl south of the Day Care Center.
    Atk - Gyarados Fisherman west of Sunnyshore.
    Def - Oreburgh Mine, run from the occasional Zubat.
    Sp.Atk - Ye Olde Mansion in Eterna Forest.
    Speed - Magicarp Fisherman west of Eterna.


    Sp.Def is a bitch. I end up surfing for Tentacruels. :|

    Our match had some long pauses too. Being seperated by the Atlantic probably didn't help matters in your match.

    What move -did- you use instead of Ice Shard? I was expecting that, to be honest, but didn't want to switch out 'cause like... free hit and all. Plus, I didn't think Queztcoatl could switch in without dying Stealth Rock out there.

    I'm having good luck against you to Gigaton. It took forever for your pokemon to wake up.

    Charizard kicked some ass. I don't think you realize just how dirt slow my Charizard is.

    I kinda figured, since Slayer was faster than him.

    I have a Male Electivire from PBR that I can breed for you Dingus. Or I can give it to you and you can do the breeding. Its adamant. Not sure of the IVs. I also have the Magmortar from PBR, but thats female.

    Battles anyone? Rematch Gigaton, with different teams?
