Stop by Tacoma? Tacoma is far. Go down to Pike Place market and get a microbrew (if your of age).

There is all sorts of stuff to do by the Moore. If you like to drink, make a point to stop at the Nite Lite & have a "Marsha's Special". :D

Yeah, Tacoma is about an hour away, I'd wager. As for Seattle, I love giving tours! I'm born and raised here, and know just about all the sites to see, if not all of them. If you wanna hit me with a pm and get some contact info, go ahead and do so before 3:00 and I'll see if I can help you.

If I don't get in contact with you, here is a list of stuff to do in downtown that is within walking distance of PAX: Westlake Center, Pike Place Market (if you're not of age, hombow at Mee Sum Pastry is made of delicious), Pacific Place, and Gameworks. If you don't mind a short bus/car ride, hit up the International District and check out Uwajimaya/Kinokuniya/food, or go to the Seattle Center/Space Needle. Ride the Ducks is a land and water tour, so you should try it if you have the time/money. Have fun!

    Word of advice...

Dont ever go to Tacoma, lest you be gagged by the stench.

Yeah, the ducks are expensive, but can be really fun since you get to see a bunch of downtown and ultimately go out one of the lakes. Though today is looking like a typical seattle day. Overcast and mild. Also, one I always have people go on, is the underground tour, but then I like history and so do most of my friends. While you are at pioneer square, why not check out the utilikilt store. Fashionable skirts, for fashionable men. They are a big thing out here. Also, if you like salami, take a trip to salumi downtown. Need to get there between 11 and 4 or they'll close, but a nice spicy pepporoni or some lamb prusciutto or even a little lardo on some baguette and you'll be a happy camper guaranteed. Also, right next to the underground is marcella's(actually around the corner.) Tasty new orleans fare. Their portions are a little skimpy comparatively but it comes out just right and they are delicious. If you see Anthony, tell him Lissa sent you. Other than that, it's worthwhile to walk from your hotel to pike's place to the convention center and look around those areas so you can get familiar with the surroundings and food places. Walk down 1st toward the stadium and you'll reach pioneer square, from there you're a fairly short walk from the international district and you can come back around on 2nd to see what's there. You should pass a liquor store on the way back to pike just so you know where it is. Also, underneath Fado on your way there is the Owl and Thistle. Decent drink prices, a good happy hour, and a really good deal on fried brie if that's your thing. Unfortunately, they no longer do the curry fries. Sadly. They were awesome.

Tacoma is good for two things.

    1. Bad smell
    2. Crime
    3. More Crime

    OH wait that's 3.
