Okay that's where the miscommunication was. I agree with you there. I think everyone needs to put their time in before reaping the benefits of a successful (I really hate trying to spell that fucking word) guild.

Re: Guild poaching, we had three BT guilds Hordeside disband, we soaked up most of their better players. Didn't actually cause much drama, as there was other guilds to go to, so its not like we were the only choice.
Re: bear run drama, We have had quite a lot of people want to get in for the bear run, but have continuously turned them down because we only have three out of ten bears so far. Why should we bring you on the bear run, giving you rights to roll against people who struggled to make the timer, got the three bears, then got to experience the pain of missing a bear by about 30 seconds two resets in a row?

There are guilds that are a few people who get along and do things together. And people in it generally pull there weight. And there are guilds where many of the members are there because the guild needs numbers to raid the p25 instances.

I was just saying that in my particular situation, the people I'm referring to had nothing to do with our 25-man progression. They just weren't there for it.
Darn Near Ecstatic -- I cleared one of my pre-WotLK goals and got into a Kara PuG. More importantly, I got into a GOOD Kara PuG (only wiped once on maiden, and the tank admitted he messed up early in the fight there). I literally doubled my supply of Badges of Justice and got the T4 gloves.

thats great!
i remember the first time I went into Kara I was like whooaoaaoaoa
its kinda sad that I now spend most of my Friday and Sat nights feverishly busy on alts that are not guilded so I dont have to think of excuses to not go and tank it

Nonsense, just say "I dun wanna". People just stop asking after a while.
At least that's what our tanks do. For anything. :x

I'm the kind of person who can be guilted into doing almost anything.
The only time I have put my foot down is when I went to Kara as Ret, with another paladin tanking. He d'ced and called us on the phone to say he couldnt get back on, they asked me to respec and continue, I refused because I was all excited about doing it as Ret.
Besides that, I'm pretty relenting, so I have to say yes, so I avoid putting myself in a situation where I can be asked.
I spose I'm lucky in that I have an experienced guild that often does alt runs in there. Although to me its a brand new experience as I've never done a single raid before. But yeh, first time in kara is really exciting no matter what the circumstances
Grats on the T4. I've seen 3 T4 pieces drop and lost the roll for all of them. But I'd rather my guildys get the upgrades as they've all been around alot longer than me. (If that makes sense).
Hope: I get to see more kara tanking gear. Still to see the Wrynn Dynasty Leggings drop. Just hope its soon.

go for the Maiden gauntlets, continue to pass on the t4 gloves if you want to continue getting goodwill for it, as they're generally better tank gloves
Happy: Went to ZA for the first time ever, and got a bear for free! Just kidding, we didn't even come close to getting a bear. At least that's what I'm assuming since we wiped all over the place. But I did get a cool robe for my warlock. Can't remember who it dropped off or what it's called, but it's 54dmg/healing . I think it's got a shitload of spirit on it too for somereason. If you really care, my characters name is Fehru on Cenarian Circle, feel free to look up the armory.
Hate: I was looking forward to tanking Kara for the first time on my druid, then it turned into a ZA attempt, which my druid is in no way, shape, or form, to be in at any level. Heals, dps, tank, fluffer, etc.
Meh: I'm not really too into my warlock for PVE my fun with him is in BGs. I'm running some horrible arenas now, but they aren't even that fun. Just frustrating, especially coming against s3/s4 decked teams in the 1400's... that's just bullshit.
Hate: everyone wants me to spec my druid heals, for arena cheese. I just fucking hate arenas. They matches usually aren't fun, it's "Which bullshit team beats which other bullshit team this time!" The long time to reap any rewards sucks too. I like the instant build up in BG's. Sure my gear will cap, but I don't have to wait all damn week to see if I have the points I needed. Instead I just check my points, then go "oh fuck time to run AV some more" or, "Oh fuck, time to go get my new item."
Hope: WoTLK 10man content is cool. I enjoy 10 man content, I go so fucking burnt out on raiding pre-bc with the 40 man bullshit, and even the 20man, (though I did enjoy ZG somewhat) I just can't stand how many people you get to sign up for large raids, who have no intention of trying, and just want to be carried through to collect loot. Then get loot over those that carried them.
Fuck that, with 10 mans at least its easy to say "hey fuckface, try casting shadowbolt instead of drain life, when you're at full health, or move over for someone who's going to be worthwhile here!"

Happy: We started practicing speed clears in BT last night, and learned that we could potentially be downing Naj, Supremus, Shade, Gorefiend, BB, and RoS in one night.
The only reason we didn't get RoS down was fuckmuppetry on Gorefiend (we actually tried RoS once, and got it down to 30% left in phase 2)
Hate: None of the bosses we downed last night decided to drop any tank gear.
Happy: Found out that I'd be the only one interested in getting the tanking neck from RoS (of course, requires it to drop....)

Yeah, we were on track for the first 5 bosses in 3 hours yesterday, but people failed at Teron.
Although, to be fair, I was sucking on constructs too. I never let any of mine into the raid though, which meant I was still very good compared to everyone else.
What was funny was one of our druids wasn't paying attention, and he had to cat form sprint to get far enough fast enough, and he still managed to get them all. This is the guild drunk, so we ridiculed the raid by comparing them to him "Even Bulgar can do it!" :P

Sad: Our warrior MT posted last night that her recent string of absences due to work is going to be permanent, at least for the indefinite future.
Happy: One of the people we ginvited last night from that other raid guild was one of their warrior tanks. Convenient! Maybe he won't show up to every raid completely smashed like she did. (It was funny at times, but on progression content? Ugh.)
Also happy: Went to Sunwell with a few of the new people and aforementioned new tank and things went well. Not one-shots but considering they hadn't even killed Brutallus yet and our best paladin healer/raid leader wasn't there and a new guy was tanking Kalecgos and Brut, things went really well.
Hate: If they hadn't taken away my shadow priest for Brut I totally would have beaten our best hunter, the guy who always gets #1 on the meters by a few percent more than anyone else... We both finished at 8% but I was OOM for so much of the fight, I bet if I had VT the whole time I would have done it.
Happy: I feel like my little horde guild is progressing nicely. We, by we I mean me, just bought the our second guild tab since our first one was full. So far the people I have in the guild seem like a solid group of people. Most of them are from Dark Iron, but some are Balnazzar natives. The next tab is 500g, but I don't think we'll need it until we all get to at least lv50.
Hate: Some douchebag tries to poach my potential lockpicking customers. Thankfully I have a kickass macro that makes them come to me. But every time I would broadcast my message he would go on and do his, which was one sentence.
To compare, here is mine:
"Got a box that's all locked up and shit? 240* lockpicking available to open any box I can. I'm standing on a rock outside the Orgrimmar bank. Lemme pop that sonofabitch open!"
*my rogue is only lv48, so thats as high as he can go. Turns out I can open any azeroth box.

10% Phase 2 with 9 healers and a dead, awesome, unlucky feral. If we raid stacked we would have been fine but it was getting late and the RL just wanted the newbies to see it once. Turns out newbie rogue whom I was terrified of being asleep at the wheel can interrupt shocks and not kick Deadens! We'll smoke that and Shazz on Sunday and then get assfucked on Council for a few hours.
Hope - I can sneak in my Paladin to Gorefiend / RoS to help DPS ... and take either the Torch of the Damned or Soul Cleaver!!
I wish there were less people in my guild who I genuinely like playing with. ONE PERSON manages to make me and other people so angry so often, I would be so much happier if I never had to play with him again, yet it's sort of difficult to avoid a fellow officer and co-RL.

I was attacked by a trio of Horde last night as I was leaving the Un'Goro cave with U'Cha's head (or tooth or whatever I was there for). I'm not so full myself that I expected to take these three out, so I just made a mad dash for it. At first they just attacked my cat, but then I guess they were afraid I might get away, so they moved their focus onto me. They chipped off quite a bit of my health, and all I did was run straight for the exit. I knew it was hopeless, so when I was down to about 2%, I feigned.
And all of three of those fools fell for it. I even made it far enough to despawn my kitty, so he survived too!
