So I get an email from "[email protected]" and wondered if it was a scam.

Wrath of the Lich Kingâ„¢ Beta Test
You have been selected to participate in the beta test of World of Warcraft®: Wrath of the Lich King™. Welcome!
In the beta test you’ll get an opportunity to test the first zones of the new Northrend continent, and the new levels above 70. We look forward to your feedback on the overall experience, including quests, monsters, zones, aesthetics, and more. We would also appreciate reports on any bugs you may encounter. These can be logged using the /bug command explained below.
go to beta.worldofwarcraft.com and try the key. More than likely real but the address can be spoofed, obviously.
Just checked my wifes email, she got one to, I geuss I will get the expansion put on both machines tonight. But she is out of town until sunday. So I don't see doing much before then.
Happy: My friend loaned me enough gold last night to help buy my Gyro-balanced Khorium Destroyer
Really Happy: My warrior currently has more epic items than any of my characters up to this point since I've started running Kara in the past couple of weeks. Almost 13k health unbuffed, over 13k armor, well over 490 defense (enough room to swap out some items for upgrades that don't have defense), and I'm slowly building a dps set too (still doing almost no damage with my prot spec and devastate spam, but every little bit helps).
You don't want to click such links though. Given html emails, the link itself could actually point somewhere else.
(ick)
I suggest just going to beta.worldofwarcraft.com by hand.
The official WotLK invite emails do not have clickable <A HREF = ... > links. There is HTML code in the email, but it's only used for bolds and italics.

- Scam would be clickable and misleading.
- GMail makes it clickable for you if it wasn't.
(Yeah, I don't trust clickiness even though it's automatically added)
End on
I wish that someway, somehow, that I could save every one of us

Best be safe and just give me the code and I'll check it out for safety reasons.
Nothing quite brings out the hate/envy like a lack of a beta key, even if most of the people lusting after then would probably just fuck around with talents like it was a free head start on 3.0 going live.
I mean, let's be honest. Sure, some of us would do testing. Maybe even submit a little feedback, just to assuage our guilty conscience... but actual testing? Really? REALLY?
(yes, I'm aware that logging in, fucking around and then making a beta forum post about ____ being broken or overpowered or whatever is probably chief among the Dev's feedback for a given day, but I'm just sayin'... REALLY?)

I would play the game and post no feedback. I still *dislike* not having a key, mainly for deciding on my new main prior to launch.

I'm kinda a math dude, so figuring out how shit works (and maybe saying HEY THIS SHIT DOES THIS DID YOU MEAN THAT SHIT in a reasonable way) is actually kind of fun for me
Hell, image google kaleedity and you get charts describing the new rage gen in tbc.
I'm a strange one
also, I've never gotten into a closed beta for anything.

I'm convinced that the probability of getting into a beta is inversely proportionate to the amount of skill you have in said game.
Of course, I say this only because I don't have a key. It does make me sad though, seeing the sheer number of the mouth breathers who got a key, or even better, multiple keys, while I sit here chomping at the bit refreshing mmo-champion 18,000 times a day.
Hate: Eh, I guess Warcraft has gotten pretty repetitive and boring lately. I wish there were an mmo that wasn't just grind, grind, grind. I cancelled my account yesterday and haven't looked back.
Happy: Warhammer online is coming out soon and i'm really pumped about the bright wizard and archmage careers.
Hope: Warhammer isn't just hype and it turns out to be all that has been said.

Yeah.. WoW with drawl doesn't really set in after one day. It usually hits when you're in the middle of a different game, having fun. Like I gave up WoW for CoX, I was having fun with my scrapper, scrappin' things up, then one day I was just like "Fuck! I need to go play my warlock!" Cancelled CoX, and resubbed to WoW within 15 minutes of that thought.
But anyway, good luck with Warhammer.

Whether they find a life there or not, I think Jupiter should be called an enemy planet.
I'm surprised nobody has posted about selling their beta key.
I thought about it, but only very briefly. Too many beta keys are being sent out recently for the value to be worth the effort. Even more will be sent out shortly. Like, the beta keys for the very first wave would be valuable, but afterwards, meh.

You cheeky bastard, I'm so stealing that.
Already done...
Hope: The most recent changes to Titan's Grip don't stick.
I still want mutiliate to not need daggers. Let the boy dream!

I just got a second beta key?
My undying affection can be yours.
You're the only one who mentioned it in the places I was looking. UNDYING AFFECTION.
I'm gonna start a secret club for people with two beta keys!
And I'm not at all saddened to have gotten 0 for WLK. Not at all.

why can't i transfer any of my live characters?
Did you go to https://beta.worldofwarcraft.com/templatecopy/character-copy.html instead of https://beta.worldofwarcraft.com/charcopy/character-copy.html ?
However, that worked just fine! Thanks!
