Lost Badge

I preregistered back in July, got my badge, and hopped on a plane from San Jose, California to Seattle, Washington, and somewhere over Oregon I realized that I left my badge on my desk.
Is there anything I can do, other than buy a badge at the door tomorrow morning? I can provide my credit card and personal ID to prove who I am, and it would really suck if I had to buy another badge at the door tomorrow morning.

Thanks for any help.

well, badges are transferable. there is nothing on your badge that makes it uniquely yours. there is a moral hazard that someone could sell their badge to someone else and then turnaround and say they 'lost' their badge. For that reason, i doubt you can get another badge.

call someone up and see if they can overnight that shit via ups. it'll be pricey but probably less than a new badge.

according to UPS.com, if your relative/friend ships it like NOW you can get it to your hotel room before 10:30am for $33.42.

    time's a wastin

You know what? The Enforcers are super cool. My friend lost his badge in the middle of Pax last year and he simply asked the Will Call people for another one. They looked at him suspiciously, but they understand that these things happen sometimes.

Although... doing that is even more suspicious at the beginning of Pax. Do you have your ticket number from Brown Paper tickets and a piece of ID? They'll be more willing to help you if they can confirm that you bought a ticket. In the worst case scenario, you'll have to shell out another $50 at the door for a three day pass.

    Shouldn't be a problem.

I went and got a replacement this evening, as mine is currently with the majority of my luggage, somewhere between here and Denver (gotta love airline baggage handling).

Just bring a photo ID verifying that you prereged and they should hook you up. They are open for another 45 minutes or so this evening. Not sure when they first open up tomorrow.

My friend left his bad back in Warwick, RI and had it sent USPS Express to the hotel here in Seattle. I should let him know he could have saved the 16 bucks.
