From a swag perspective, I was pretty dissapointed today. Maybe I just wasn't in the right places or talking to the right people, but I didn't get a whole lot.
By far, my favorite thing was the Fallout 3 Vault Survival Guide. Very cool, love the art style and tongue-in-cheek 50's style.
Didn't roam the Ex Hall much today (TF2! got rolled in round two...), but I agree with the Fallout survival guide so far.
This is my first PAX, so I don't know what all is available. I'm kind of hoping for maybe a tee or something like that. Or a free game. Free is good.
lame swag... very lame... one neat little poster from altier or whatever, with that hot anime girl on it. Other than that nothing but crap with logos and ads for colleges and junk, all worthless. couple posters, but who really puts up posters with half of it being an ad... Seriously why don't they just give us posters without the dev and publisher and all that garbage on there, like we will forget or something when it's hanging on our freakin wall! The way it is I just either don't bother taking most of them or chuck them in the recycle.
Serously what's up with shwag at events anywehere these days, They don't realize that if they give us somthing cool and that we would cherish or want makes up many times more likely to be excited about their product than giving us a little freaking business card with their company logo on one side and the game name on the back... yay.

Geoff: Where is this?
Seriously, I need a haircut anyway, might as well do it for free stuff.
if you go into the exhibition room, turn right, go to the wall, and then turn left. keep going and you'll see an 'army camp' eventually. i dont' see it on the exhibit map. i think it's at aisle 1300 though

Sweet.
Do they give the Xbox 360 version away though?
Otherwise...
I might do it anyway.
they have a big picture of the 360 version. but i heard you can get the pc version too.
i just looked, and it isn't released yet, so i think they might mail it to you, which is far less satisfying.

Still though.
It's a free haircut, which is like 10 dollars, plus a sixty dollar game.
That's basically 70 dollars for HELL spraypainted on the back of my head that I can rinse off in the shower in about 3 minutes
I brought something for the Duke from Freezepop to sign, and he threw in a free gift after signing it. I kinda look up to him, so I think that's pretty awesome.
A TN Games beanie/snowboard hat (whatever you call it, I'm from Florida, we don't have those). BF Heroes beta key was pretty nice too. LOTRO shirt from the Turbine party.

I got a Dawn of War 2 shirt while standing at the THQ area and watching Darksiders. Unfortunately its too small for me (a small) but it fits my friend :^:
How are people not finding the good swag? This is my first convention ever and there's been no shortage of swag being thrown my way. Shirts, narutos, posters, and plaenty of other cool stuff I can compete for easily. Although my favorite swag is catching up with Adam Sessler, Scott Kurtz, and Felicia Day and chatting them up and getting pictures with them.
Last year they basically started you off with a huge bag'o'swag, and there were demo disks EVERYWHERE.
This year things have been thinner and have required more time commitment, like the Fallout stuff requiring you to go to the panel. I bet whoever got the Luck card did a little dance as soon as they got out of sight of all the people who would have mugged them for it. :P
So far I haven't noticed anyone finding the Resistance 2 shirt that I did, the guy just gave it to me while I was playing, he even had different sizes! xD
On Friday at the beginning, I think some booth was giving out these little plastic balls.. when you toss them up in the air or shake them or something, the white sides flip over to reveal a black side. I really really want one of these.
Just the DII classes? Think they'd ask something a little harder...
Re: Fallout panel loots; it was an awesome panel to attend on its own and getting a sweet goodie was just an extra bonus (vault dweller puppet for me). When I was in line to pick up my loot, the guy beside me in line was yammering about how the woman in front of him (who got in his way) scored the Luck. Dunno, but holy crap that prize!
Anyone else avoiding Left 4 Dead and Fallout 3 plays because of the lines? I got in the L4D line at 10:30 this morning, ditched after 10 minutes, went back two hours later and the two guys in front of me had just gotten to play. TWO HOURS for 15 minutes of play. There goes your day if you actually wait for that.
Wow that PS3 Is win. My Swag item of the day is a tie between the 4 free bawls from Eca, (signed up last year) or my tankman statue that i got for like 5 bucks by playing castle crashers.
I sadly avoided both Fallout and Left 4 Dead, as well as Gears 2 only because each and every station was many, many people deep. They should have added more stations to actually give people a chance to play.
oh my god i want a puppet. they said they would hand out more tomorrow but there doesn't seem to be a fallout3 presentation. i don't know what the plan is

Also, is the Brothers in Arms thing a buzz cut, or a clean shave?
<Moe_Fwacky> nice girls
<Moe_Fwacky> lesbians
<Moe_Fwacky> robbed drugstores together
Any other cool free stuff around?
...Don't play on the PC, but The Boyfriend does.

The pet is the mini Tyrael pet.
That's what being able to name all 7 Diablo II classes at the Blizzard trivia event gets you.

And I ended up with the Skateboard deck from the Champions Online booth. I tried to hand it back to them, but they insisted.

My coolest is the Fallout puppet and having Tycho sign my pass. I just need to get Gabe to do it... (be at the second Q&A panel).
