White Wolf was really cool when it first came out and World of Darkness was really well done. After V:tM had been out for a while they tried way to hard to be "progressive." Ever since then they have done the same.
But their new games have such weird mechanics. 2nd Gen was weird, then 3rd Gen was so much more polished out.
The Cathayan vampire system was alright, but it was also kinda goofy.

One thing that does irk me about Bloodlines is that the well-done sections (the hotel, the mad-house) that i've encountered seem to drag on for fucking ever.

Yeah, the madhouse was fun, but it did get pretty old killing all of those gimps. The stealth kill animation doesn't seem very long until you have to watch it several dozen times in a row.

It's essentially just like Manhunt
oh and Manhunt 2
We're playing a PBP Masquerade over in critical failures, and the point was brought up that White Wolf publishes books with obviously contradictory statements, that their respective books cite as absolute truth.
Its one of those "who are you gonna believe" sort of things.
Also, I just like playing a 7 foot tall Malkavian in Masquerade and hugging people to death.

The gameplay had some snags at times because of Doubefine's lack of experience, but the gameplay still managed to be fun, and the story, dialogue and art direction were fantastic. Also the music.
Another reason I don't want to buy the Orange Box is because I don't want to understand Portal references. I know it'll just annoy me if I start noticing them.

Also, if there is another game it should be set in africa, different species of vampire, so that'd be interesting.

Because my life does depend on it.
Because I am a vampire.

Oh, you could just get my brother, he lives in Hilversum.

Hot cocao from it would just be the best thing
but, man, building it up into some kind of cultural scene with photoshopped pics and tf2 inside jokes
meh

Anyways, should I buy Stranglehold? It looks like it could be fun, especially considering the price it's at now.
i like the heavy making out with the girl (spy)
The Dutch were pretty hardcore violent germanic motherfuckers back in the day too, you know.
