To anybody who took pictures of my cosplaying crew (The roving Joker gang), thanks for acknowledging us, I would have loved to have chatted with some people, but the way the con was going, we just had to keep going, hopefully we'll be able to have more time next year (Well, and hopefully smaller lines...>>;; )
You guys were awesome. If your who im thinking of It was a guy and a girl both like joker right? Link if picture dosen't work.
Well i might as well give this a shot. There was two sisters in front of me and my friends in line for Guitar Hero:World Tour stage. They were pretty rad and it would be cool to talk to them again.
Also there were two guys that played Guitar Hero with us on stage, One Sang and One Played Bass, we played the doors and hot for teacher, I just wanted to say we fucking rocked the stage.
ran into a cute redhead with rollerskates on. we stood inline together and then watched the code monkeys, but u left before i talk to u more. offered pocky for more of your smiles.
Oh yeah, that girl was pretty awesome. I wore heelys, she wore roller skates. First time ever that I've seen someone one-up me at my own game like that, and it made for a convenient ice breaker. Eventually, security escorted her outside (she rebounded however.). Later, an enforcer noticed me on my heelys outside, and it turns out that this was one of the same enforcers who lectured her ("She was really hot, but I still had to do it.").
Sunday, she was sitting at the guild booth after Felicia left, sitting in as her stunt double (not her actual occupation). A bunch of guys mistook her for the real thing, one of them started with "Sorry to bother you again," and one guy asked to have his picture taken with fake-Felicia Day. She also started signing things as "Felicia Day's stunt double," until I pointed that there actually was a stunt double in Dr. Horrible ("Thank you, Hammer Man!"). At one point, I made the joke, "This is Felicia Day's decoy who she uses to distract the stalkers... Which is how we met." If you saw my Felicia Day photo from previous threads, you would know why that's funny. Unless of course your name is Felicia Day, in which case, you might find that story creepy.
There's also a picture somewhere of me and her fighting sonic screwdriver vs. sonic pen. Apparently, she works in the toy industry, and she used to watch the older series of the show (I'll admit that I never got around to it.).
I sat in the back row of the Saturday showing of Dr. Horrible. A few minutes into it a few people sat next to me, the girl next to me(who I think was an enforcer) was awesome. You made the movie way better with your commentary, between telling your friends to be quite. I never caught your name and think you would be an awesome person to watch movies with. Several times during the convention, I saw a striking Asian man, usually wearing a suit. He always seemed to be so busy, but every now and then we would make eye contact, and once he nodded in my direction.
I don't know if he wanted to talk to me, once I thought he would, but an enforcer came over and started talking to huim instead. I really feel like I missed my chance.
Later on, I snuck into a big photo that he was in the middle of on some steps by the main theater, hoping I would get a chance to talk to him, but it didn't happen.
If anyone can help me figure out who this is, I would really appreciate it. I think he might have been on the convention staff.

Not a romantic connection but you turned in a pass that I had lost. Saturday morning I went and bought my buddy Mike a day pass and somewhere in the fifteen minutes it took me to walk from the desk to where I met him I dropped it. I went to lost and found with a heavy heart not expecting it to be there. But when I asked if anyone had turned in a pass the man working the desk looked at me incredulously. You had just turned it in. He said that it was the second time you'd turn in something to lost and found. You sir are my hero. I absolutely owe you dinner next year.
I was invited to see The Dark Knight at IMAX by some nice folks on Sunday. I said I couldn't go, and rather than get any contact info, I left to finish some much-needed work. If you're still around and want to see the movie again, here I is. Same goes to the nice group of folks who invited me to a game of Last Night on Earth on Friday and converted me--I'm all for more board gaming like that again, guys/gal. I just got Catan and have nobody to play it with in my circle of friends.
Otherwise, whoever else is in the Seattle area and has a perpetual LFG tag around their neck, I may try to cobble something together through my print outlet for more frequent public gaming events. Or I might just start being creepy and asking random people to come over and game at a stranger's house. Or not.
Even if I don't get off my ass and make either of those happen, thanks to all who played stuff with me at this year's PAX. I had a blast. See you next year, if not sooner.
Yeah I'm thinking about ordering Last Night On Earth the zombie horror/survival board game but not sure if I could get/find people for playing. Here's my pics btw (my originals are all 1600x1200) http://s262.photobucket.com/albums/ii110/TheShadowsil/PAX%202008/
One, at the 1st Gabe & Tycho Q & A on Friday. You were the red-haired "cookie brigade" girl in the blue 'princess(?)' dress, and I was the guy in the grey button-down shirt that got on to Mike about going "Kuntzian" with his art. After I sat down, I noticed you glancing looks at me while you were in the question line. Tried to find you again after the event, but got lost in the mob.
Two, dark-haired girl I met on the 2nd floor escalator outside the Handheld Lounge on Saturday. You were on your way to the tabletop annex and we talked for a while. I was wearing the white "Luminous Vestments" hoodie. (I think the only guy at the expo with one) Unfortunately, I had to break off outside the annex and meet my friends at our hotel. You were a Seattlite (is that it?) and seemed really cool. Since I definitely want to go back to Seattle more often (cool ass city), it'd be nice to have a friend there.

There are men who shoot, and then there is Shoot-Man!
I met one of the regulars at the airport when they asked to split a Taxi (which I did). Then, when there was a problem with my hotel room and I had to wait for strings to get pulled you welcomed me to come chill in your room 2306 in the Sheraton while my boss and the Sheraton hammered crap out.
We'll definitely meet up next year for some good times.
Thought I'd start this thread for people who met other cool people at the con, but didn't get a chance to talk to them more, or get any contact info, so post here if you got 'em.
I missed all the enforcers that I haven't officially met for the last 4 years.
Sorry dawgs. I never use the forums
But I made up for it by meeting a bunch of you tonight! I look forward to working with all you guys next year. Console Tourny is the place to be!
And I didn't make it to any random hotel parties this year Maybe next year?

curly haired fellow with the glasses who strangely was also always in the front row at the concerts. always happy to meet another Jo Co and Freezepop fan. I regret not talking to you despite the fact that i followed you out of the crowd after frontalot. I was the girl with the purple floppy hat and the sleep deprivation.
:]
Not a missed connection but just a funny PAX connection that occurred today. My buddy and I were over at the Seattle Center doing the tourist thing today, I'm wearing the Fallout 3 t-shirt I got at the show. Walking the other way comes a couple, he's wearing a t-shirt w/ pac-man on it, she's wearing the PA W. Wheaton "Don't be a Dick" t-shirt. We just looked at each other and smiled. Nothing more need be said.
Hey, so a bunch of friends and I were trying to grab some lunch at the Subway located on the 4th floor of the convention center on Saturday afternoon around 3pm. While we were standing in that massive line, you walked by in your dark-purple hair, black vinyl skirt and sexy top. One of my friends, Patrick, was particularly taken with you, what with the crazy sounds and words erupting from his mouth at that point. He tried to catch up to you to introduce himself (with me close behind) but he lost you when you entered the cut-through to the exhibition hall via the BYOC room.
Anyway, he's a great guy (visiting from England) and a talented musician who would really like to serenade you. He's in America for another few weeks, so send me a message if you're interested in meeting. I hear he's also a pretty big deal on the internet.
Thanks.

I'd actually like to thank whoever it was who helped ElectricTurtle carry me back to his car after I had one too many martinis at Chapel Bar on the Triwizard Drinking Tournament route. That was really nice of you, and honestly, I have no memory of who you were (too drunk), but I did want to say thanks.

I saw you! When I was heading to the Chapel I saw two guys practically carrying you away. I didn't get a good look at them, but I was told it was you by Blaine. Seems like you had a lot of fun. And the Chapel is a pretty nice place, though the drinks are a bit weaker then Shorty's.
I was the guy that would pull out that little rc drift car and race around the skybridge area, with people chasing after it every so often.
Talked to a couple enforcers that offered me a spot, get back to me since I'm still trying to find the button with your forum handle on it, my bag is covered in buttons.
Every time I saw the girl in the pikachu outfit, I didn't have my camera on me. And I really wanted to get some photos of your pikachu dance. We hung out a lot, smoked from my hookah, let me know if you see this! (And your friend that I was outside smoking with on friday night)
I'm also the guy carrying around the hookah late at night.
Canadian named Quin...you were standing behind me on Friday morning @ Subway...we talked about the E3 keynotes & the lack of jobs in your town....You were cool but I had to get in line because they started letting people in...this is what I was wearing on Friday.

Me and James from Oregon (don't remember his forum handle) got you down the steps and made sure you weren't planning on driving any time soon. James was the one that got you back to your car, though.
I laughed when I saw you a day or two later in your Evangelion shirt and you didn't appear to recognize me.

I had a fucking blast . It was a great way to end the Pre-PAX 2008 Dinner (I was pretty tightly wound the days leading up to it because of all the prep and inherent stress associated with it). You should have said HI! :P Of course, I wouldn't have remembered it the next day, but we would have met each other that night! Chapel is my FAVORITE bar in Seattle. The strength really depends on what you have. Martinis are their specialty, so they're all good and full of alcohol. Anything else? I'm not sure. Obviously, it was strong enough for me . But then again, I'd had a martini at Barca and tequila shots at some other place we went.

I really wish I had a chance to meet more of you forumers and twitterers over the weekend.

I hung out with you for most of Saturday, before you left the mall to let your friend into your hotel room. That night, I was just too damned tired to go back to the Convention Center, and didn't see you anywhere the next day, which made me super sad.
