There was one for the Penny Arcade game cosplayers, at the Hothead Games booth. That's it, I think.

    oh, ok. thanks ^_^

You know, I was taking with some random people at PAX, and we concluded that there would probably be a lot more cosplay at PAX if there was a cosplay contest. It doesn't seem to be the kind of con that would support that sort of thing (more of a focus on showing and playing games than anything else), but we cosplayers might at least plan a get-together one day next year, and post it on the forums for anyone for who might want to attend. If attendance is high enough, we might make a case for a contest ^_^

Someone in the Penny Arcade Q&A made the case for a costume contest next year, and got a reply that amounted to: Gabe and Tycho have nothing to do with organizing such things, but they're not against the idea. The questioner was directed to the "mother of PAX" for possible official inclusion.

I'm up for unofficial meet-ups; I like getting a chance to see as many cosplayers as possible.

You got us! Thanks for the post. :)

Actually, by the end of the day, three or four people had approached me with speculations at my Kaylee costume. One person thought that Oz was from Precipice, which I'd assumed would happen. :P

I also went as Gum from Jet Set Radio on Friday....did anyone get any pics?
I took a pic of you, but it was hopelessly blurry. I know I saw some others, but this is the only photo I've dredged up so far:

My wife is actually disappointed that by the time she showed up to the crawl, everybody was too drunk to work a camera and get any pictures of her pseudo-Slytherin outfit (which was really hot).

However she's probably lucky that there's no photographic record, especially when you consider all the old lechers she has worked with...

    That sign doesn't work.

There are no misspelled words, or backwards letters.

Also, the handwriting is way too good for a kid that age.

    Ergo, it isn't cute.

I present my collection of various cosplays and other cool stuff. Check back later today for even more.

3 notable cosplays that stood out in my mind.
Harley Quinn from Batman - Overall great costume and cool button =)
Hunk from Resident Evil - Simply Fantastic looked exactly like it.
Spy and Scout from TF2 - Very well done and great poses.

Thank you! I added you as a friend!

Hey, glad I found you on the last day to see how the costume turned out. By the time my buddy Lucas (the guy who was in Lord of the Rings) and I got back to the line, it had moved and we were cut off.

The costume turned out aces though.

I guess I was lucky, then, because I managed to catch her alone all three days. At one point, we were chatting on the second floor, when this guy I met at a party some months back tried to get us to join in on their game of "We Didn't Playtest this." I was just thinking, "Dude, no, I'm talking to a girl. Stop doing that!" Twice she walked away to go to the bathroom, and the guys and I had a bet on whether or not she was coming back (She did, both times.).

Oh, if you guys think she's hot now, you should listen to her talk about hardware. She doesn't build PC's, she builds computer chips, and is regarded as a pretty big authority on the subject. Also, she's from Portland, which isn't really "in the area."

Anyway, this is why you need to ask girls for their names, guys. Also, be willing to approach them.

Well, I'm glad I didn't ask her that, then.

Towards the end, I gave her my sonic pen as a parting gift in the event that I don't see her again, and she has a photo on her cell phone she hasn't sent me yet where we're dueling. She told me she has a co-worker who's a huge Doctor Who fan that burns her new episodes, so one of these days, she intends to drop by his office while he's having problems and attempt to "troubleshoot."
