I posted this on the champions website, and just wanted to share my feelings here:

Although the game looked very cool, I am dissapointed that there were only Large and Xtra large shirts available at the booth at Pax. I am happy to now own a very comfortable nightey but would have liked a shirt that I can actually wear outside of the bedroom. Not all gamers are of the large variety and I found that to be a very strong stereotype at Pax. I only managed to grab one shirt that actually fit.. and it was from Pirates. They are always awesome at catering to all body types. So next year, I hope that whoever is in charge of ordering (whether it be this game or any other) consider the not-so-rare existance of both thin and female gamers. I would love to wear one of your shirts outside in the real world.

Standard Action, it's a webseries.

I wholeheartedly agree. I didn't even bother to go t-shirt swag hunting this year as I already have plenty of nightgowns from last year's PAX.

I have to agree, but also add the kids sizes would have been nice to. I spent a good amount of time looking for geek shirts for my girls (age 2 and 5) that where in another color other than black.

I think children's sizes would be perfect for you. ;)

Shame tarps are the standard for gaming events, probably because most anyone can wear them, where as some of the bigger folks will suffocate trying to fit into a medium or small.

Yeah, i hardly wear my swag shirts since they're all far too big. I need a small (or a childs large ^_^)

honestly though - i think its because companies think most gamers are fat.

Yesterday, Kittenfist was wearing one of the extra large World in Conflict shirts from last year, but she'd modified it into a dress-like thing. It looked surprisingly big and good for being just a T-Shirt. We've got photo evidence, if anyone wants it- and I'm sure she remembers how to do it.

But more to the point, I would also like some smaller swag shirts, since my normal shirt size is a medium. I'd also have liked a medium Black Mantle, but the large I bought was the last one they had. I didn't even get shirts this year, which I thought was a wee bit odd.

I remember seeing that. I thought that as pretty cool.

Last year, sony's parappa booth was tossing out all sorts of sizes. I have a Toddler 3 that I stuck on a teddy bear i have.

I caught a medium in the crowd and gave to a friend and I asked the booth for a small, they had a Youth Large.

That's probly the only free shirt I wear on a regular basis.

I agree. The vendors probably might wanna get some more smaller shirts in stock too, since when I went to go get a deepcrow/PAX 08 shirt, they only had the huge sizes in both, which was disappointing. I bought a large PAX 08 shirt anyway, though... I guess I can wear it when I crash at a friend's house? o-o

I never had problems getting my size smalls at the vendors.

though my brohter had a problem getting an XL mega64 shirt. I feel bad, because on saturday night he wanted to get it but i wanted to get in line for something and i said "tommorow", and sunday they were out. :(

    I failed my little brother...

Hmm... I should have gone earlier then. I guess I know for next time, but a bit more wouldn't hurt. :P

Plus, girls' shirts are actually CUT DIFFERENTLY than guys' shirts. If you compare a male small to a female small, you'll realize there are significant differences- guys' shirts will be straight down, while girls' shirts will be curved (like a female's body, egads!). The shoulders are smaller on females' shirts, and there is a bit more space in the breast area (for obvious reasons).

Also, youth larges DO NOT equate to an adult small. Kids have shorter torsos, so a youth large will be wide and short. Adult smalls are narrow and long.

So yes, please vary the sizes for next year! Kthxbai!

I agree. I was able to get small for all my PA shirts that I bought/won, but all the free shirts I had were Medium or Large. When I walked into BYOC they asked me, "What size shirt are you?" I said "small," and they said, "how about large." Though there are a larger percentage of overweight people at PAX compared to the general population, I'm sure there were still a good 10% of us who wear smalls. I don't like to be too preachy, but it's kind of scary/disappointing when I see the number of people at PAX who are morbidly obese, e.g. over 300lbs, which is probably close to the percentage of us wearing smalls.

I don't really bother with the shirts because they never fit me. I'm more of a small/medium depending on the shirt.

Yeah, and it's probably easiest to see the difference between guy and girl shirts when they're both large. It's like... wow.

I was actually really surprised to see how many fit, good-looking people there were this year! It made me happy. ^_^

I'm a bit over 6'2" and take small shirts, most mediums feel like I'm wearing something shaped like a bell. Something other than a tent would be nice, but I don't really go hunting for free shirts terribly often, after several XL's that I never wear keep sitting in the dresser.

Yeah, I know. I prefer youth large over small. Last year when the sony booth said they had Youth Large and couldn't find Small, i was like 'EVEN B ETTER!" though the dude looked at me weird when i said that. lol

frontalot has a lot of youth large, i didn't think he did i asked for a small and he said "we also have youth large to accommodate your boyish figure"

    Anamanaguchi had youth large too.

I wish Penny-Arcade sold shirts in youth large. :( damn me being 116LBs

Agreed. Small shirts would be nice. People wonder why girls aren't into gaming...well, maybe more would be if companies started marketing more with women in mind. I don't mean make all pink shirts (although that would make ME happy) but at least when you are out promoting a game and have swag, have some that will fit women too.

When I went back to the booth saturday afternoon there were no pax t shirts at all. The guy said he thought there might be some left somewhere but he had no clue where they were and then shruged his sholders and said oh well.

Is there a way to get official pax2008 shirts after the event?

I couldn't agree more. I waited 90 mins in line for Rock Band for the t-shirt, only to be told they only have XL. I wear small. Thanks for not telling me that when I asked about the t-shirts before I waited in line, I really enjoyed wasting 90 mins of PAX.

It's hard to find well fitting t-shirts if you're tall and skinny. Have you tried american apparel? They have excellent thin fit mediums so you don't have to resort to wearing a small.
