It isn't totally complete - I have a more updated version at work. Source is the comics, all else is scaled/placed/touched up by me. Obviously meant for double 1280x1024 monitors.
This is beautiful already. I'd totally steal it if it didn't make my eye cry out in pain every time I looked at it (I need dark wallpapers, too much white hurts my eyes).
...hell, right click + save anyway. When I get my new Mac I'll set it as part of my rotation.

Have you tried dropping your screen brightness?
I have the same problem. My solution involves:
- change default webpage background colour from white to a grey
- a black theme for wikipedia & co
- dark wallpapers
- drop display contrast slightly and brightness severely
My external LCD is 85% contrast and 0% brightness; my MacBook display is generally between two and eight bars of brightness. Helps a lot.
Did anyone else get a new service pack from windows that reset everything? I wanted classic windows but it is stuck in gray and the address bar is no longer at the bottom. I re-downloaded opus but windows won't recognize it as being there.
edit: By address bar, I mean the little toolbar I had where I typed in web addresses or the shortcut to games on my desktop and it would launch them from there like the "Run" tool. I got the idea from a PC gamer article but do not what to search for it.

Hi, read the OP where it talks about Service Pack 3 and how you have to use a different patcher than SP2

Sorry didn't think it would have been updated.
... ... ...
Holy shit, I don't have to use service pack 3?
Anyway, thanks for the advice, but anyone know how I can bring back the toolbar? I don't remember how I put it on there and really want it back.

Yeah, I don't see my desktop a lot, so it's mostly for passerbyers when my computer is locked.
I'll never, ever use a program for my RSS feeds again. Nothing beats access anywhere.
I like having a nice app.
The main thing that NetNewsWire does that nothing else does is having the full articles inline. Headlines don't give me enough information, I like to skim article and look at pictures and choose what to read, and NetNewsWire is the only one that doesn't separate headlines and content into separate windows.
Annnd NetNewsWire plugs into NewsGator which is a decent online RSS reader. Syncs both ways.
i just got a new 21.6 monitor so i've been spending the entire day trying to find a new wall paper.. i cant find any i like... i guess i'm an extremely picky person.

Unlock the taskbar if it's locked right now by right clicking and selecting "Lock the taskbar" (As long as it has a tick next to it). Then right click again once it is unlocked and go to Toolbars -> Address. That'll enable the address bar, and you can drag it around to reposition as long as the taskbar is unlocked, as well as right click on it to turn off the title etc.

:?: I can only think of like two feeds that don't have the stories inline... they're webcomic feeds, so they just want the hits. That isn't dependent on the reader, it's dependent on the feed.
Some things have changed, other parts stays the same. The new parts is the visual style (I've used it in the past, but I decided to continue modding it to my liking), the wallpaper (which I unfortunately can't share), a few minor changes in my foobar2000 & sharper+cleaner media controls in my taskbar.

Thanks, the wallpaper's from cgwallpapers and the theme started out as Kemikal VS by "lassekongo83" Not quite sure I'm satisfied with the min/max/close buttons though, think I'll have to make new ones yet again.
Indeed it is (though this version certainly isn't from the Amiga days ;-)). Directory Opus 9 is a fantastic file manager (and image organizer, ftp/sftp client +++) but it isn't the cheapest tool you'll ever buy (~$68 USD). I think it was money well spent though, and I wouldn't hesitate to purchase another license should I need it.
I am currently looking for a PSP wallpaper which was on the PA image dump. It was from Metal Gear portable ops - the Foxhound logo surrounded by ammo and weapons, grey was the main color and it is very stylized (menu background). I can't find a screenshot of it anywhere on the net. It would be great if someone could post / rehost it somewhere. Thanks in advance, you'll have my eternal gratitude.
My first attempt at Linux is starting to take shape on my Eee 901.
I'm using Screenlets for Pidgin because it doesn't skin otherwise. I edited a transparent theme to make idle contacts invisible, which you can see in this next one.
Unfortunately, Pidgin doesn't see contacts on the phone as anything but on-line, nor does it let me use custom names. I think my next step is to edit that Rainlendar skin to match the contact list a bit more.
Oh, I also wrote a script that makes Pidgin run on startup and be automatically in the taskbar.Man, Linux is cool and I haven't pirated a thing. This is great.

Okay, crazy Vista UI question.
Is there an easy way to kinda "mirror" the Start Menu, so it appears on the right side of the screen instead of the left?

Ooooooooooooooooh, thanks. :^: Got it at this site and installed it, it is very good looking.
Wait. Did...did you think this was a response to your asking what theme was in the windows screenshot?

No, I didn't think so haha. But I do have a question for you, where can I steal your flapjack wallpaper?
