    Find and Run Robot v2
    http://www.donationcoder.com/Software/Mouser/findrun/index.html

It fixes a lot of the problems that I had with Launchy; mainly, controlling what comes up in searches. Took a while to get it set up the way I wanted it. After a bit though, I found it less frustrating than Launchy. Since I don't have my hard drive indexed to save on memory and have a ton of files, having Find and Run Robot not hog my CPU while I'm playing games is awesome.

Protip (not really): You can get rid of the icons on the side by placing your mouse to the left of them until it changes to a two-way arrow. Click and drag it to the right to hide it.
It's been bugging me since the first release and I just found that out yesterday >_<.

I haven't been able to reproduce your protip. Are you talking about the icon inbetween the large "slide" number and the result? I'd love to get rid of that icon...

Bushido supplied it, but it's on the Penny Arcade Wallpaper Dump for future reference. Everything awesome is on there.

Well, it's a kickin' desktop. I'll comment on the EVE icon you're using for your Adium icon, though... I'm using the same icon for one of my external drives.

Well, it was obviously an earlier version. Unless someone else around here was working on a Daft Punk vector image independently of you, of the same scene. I guess that's possible.

    Indeed.

I showed the lineart probably about 4 months ago, but I finally got off my lazy ass and started filling in some color.

Everything in there I colored with the exception of the background and her glasses/visor thing.

I've been trying all day to make a wallpaper request in /w/, but I keep getting an "upload failed" message, even when trying on a different computer. I guess 4chan gets too cluttered on the weekend.

But since I see some wallpaper makers here, maybe I can request one of you to take the following image and make it into a nice big widescreen wallpaper.
    DeathNote-26-27.jpg

I'm worried if the image is too small or low res, but that was the only one I could find (cropped it myself). Nevertheless, I'd love it if someone could make this into a wallpaper, at least 1440x900 (my resolution) or higher. Maybe apply some grainy filter to give it that horror look, which is what I want since October is coming up. Big appreciation if anyone does this.

A simple resize and blur, along with a little 2'o clock spotlight. If you've got something specific you'd like me to attempt let me know.

I tried adding a noisy filter but it made the fuzzy image just more fuzzy.

Looks real good as is, but I'm wondering if you could remove the borders so the image takes up the whole screen, or would that be too much of a sacrifice in quality? I know vector is the big thing for anime wallpapers, so I'm curious how that would look as well. But finally, as far as ideas go, perhaps a color scheme that's similar to The Ring's promotional art, or maybe a bit more of Silent Hill brown.

I dunno, maybe I'm being picky, but if it's at least possible to resize the picture to a full borderless image, I'd love to see that, but I'm still very thankful for what you did so far. Excellent job. :)

To be honest I don't remember how I came accross it, I had to crop it to fit my desktop. Here is the full version, so you may do the same to yours. My first guess was that it's a FF art, cause maybe its just me, but those sure look like chocobo's :P

Well, it comes from allakhazam.com (It's on the bottom right corner of the image), and they deal with MMOs, including Final Fantasy XI, so that's my guess.

this is a first take on it.
    515_thumbs_1222590742.jpg
you get borders because the size you want it and the size it is are different aspect ratios, I could stretch it to fit, but it would mean distorting the image. As it is I have already cropped it closer to the two figures to get the image to fill more of the space. I think the trace lost a lot of the image as well, mainly as it was a black and white one, I shall try a greyscale for you as well.

this is a grayscale version of the image, I kept the whole of the image in this one and used bigger borders.

Anybody have high res icons that will scale up in case I change desktop icon size. Sometimes I want larger icons with a certain wall paper but some apps like Ventrilo, Chrome, and Photoshop do not scale up, they just remain postage sized icons in an a thin outlined box.

So some one who recommended Vista Glazz want to tell me why in the world they recommended it? It changed my theme to windows classic, rebooted, and still doesn't work. And now whenever I go to vista personalize Rundll32 instantly crashes and I can't get it up, meaning I'm permanently stuck with this hideous windows classic theme, unless I can get Glazz to work, but considering I've uninstalled it and reinstalled it and that hasn't done anything . . . want to give me some help?

If you guys actually took the time to read what they have written on the page where you download VistaGlazz, you'd notice that there are 2 different versions of the tool; one for SP1 and one for pre-SP1.

If you use the wrong one you will get the results you are talking about (classic theme, dialog crash on personalize etc.).

I used Y'zDock for years and years. I tried RK Launcher a few times, but its process detection sucked at that point and would always show stuff I didn’t want. Perhaps it’s improved significantly over the past year?
