So some one who recommended Vista Glazz want to tell me why in the world they recommended it? It changed my theme to windows classic, rebooted, and still doesn't work. And now whenever I go to vista personalize Rundll32 instantly crashes and I can't get it up, meaning I'm permanently stuck with this hideous windows classic theme, unless I can get Glazz to work, but considering I've uninstalled it and reinstalled it and that hasn't done anything . . . want to give me some help?
It fucked my computer up too. Just System Restore to the first time you installed it and everything will be fixed.
If you guys actually took the time to read what they have written on the page where you download VistaGlazz, you'd notice that there are 2 different versions of the tool; one for SP1 and one for pre-SP1.
If you use the wrong one you will get the results you are talking about (classic theme, dialog crash on personalize etc.).

Reading is for chumps.
Indeed, they should have done what every sane developer does; made a pop-out book with instructions.

Oh and here's my current desktop. Was in the mood for something brighter this time
I want that desktop, you want to get me the source *jedi hand movement* :P
It's yet another one of these non-free wallpapers so I can't really do that (at least not in public), but the website where it's from is cgwallpapers and this is the artists deviantart page.
EDIT: Wait it doesn't work for vista, and it seems the developer hasn't come out with a vista version yet. That sucks, I tried to install anyways and it moves programs on the start bar over but the start button remains
Got a question for everyone. I have 2 monitors that I just hooked up a 22" and a 19", the 22" is my primary but every time I open up Firefox it goes to the 19" and its really annoying. Any suggestions on how to make all my programs open initially on the 22"
There's my new desktop after all my tinkering, still trying to to get rid of that start button. I'm happy though right now
EDIT: oh god paint butchered the quality
EDIT 2 : Does anyone remember the desktop where it was a giant trifoce from Legend of Zelda, in the centre of the screen and it was segmented into different colors and the poster showed by selecting a piece of the trifroce it would open the internet or my computer and stuff like that? That was pretty awesome...wish I knew how he did it

I thought he just made icons by copying from the clean desktop, then moved them to the place they were supposed to be?

When he clicked on the icon though it didnt highlight it though just opened up, like you can turn of the one click open thing but then underlines the icon.
edit: also, Epiphany is waaaay faster than Firefox.
So are Opera, Chrome, and Internet Explorer.
You really feel it on the eee, though. On my desktop I don't mind my web browser caching some big SQLite database to keep my bar sufficiently awesome but on an SSD and an Intel Atom, it's a performance hit you can really feel.
(completely aside from the obvious problems with the browsers you mentioned and Linux, etc)

Not really, yet. I'm trying to find a good e-mail client. Thunderbird is kind of archaic, hasn't been updated in forever, and doesn't really blend with the rest of the desktop, especially with the calendar extension. Evolution (which I'm using now) is very nice but a little heavy and slow. Claws doesn't play well with gmail and IMAP. etc.
When they first announced this new theme, I was suspicious, but now that I've gotten a chance to use it, I think it looks really snazzy.

Holy fuck, they slicked up Ubuntu with gusto.
Fuck, now I need another HDD to try it again.

It's been so long since I've posted here, I've removed my signature since most of what I had here were broken links. Shows over, you can carry on to the next post.

My only suggestion is to make sure that your 22" is set as the primary monitor. In any case, most apps should 'remember' the position they closed at last and will reopen there, so try closing it on the 22".
(I'm assuming you're on a Windows machine. I the window manager in Linux will sort out window positioning for you, but I have no concrete info on that)

Yeah I figured it out. Basically with FF3 if you close it on the 2nd monitor you have to move it over to the 1st monitor and then close it out there, but you have to make sure NOT to maximize it in the 1st monitor before you close it. FF3 for some reason doesn't recognize the 1st monitor position when its maximized after being closes in the 2nd, really weird.
Has anyone else had problems with UXTender? If I use it to patch my uxtheme.dll my computer will reboot itself after the Windows loading screen. I'd suggest people change it manually, unless I'm the only one this is affecting.

I would very much request a clean, possibly higher res source of this if you have it available.

It's marked "Show Advanced Linking"

EDIT: Also a few other questions, is there a way to remove the start menu and with the rocketdock can you have two bars?

Uploaded a copy of it to my server here: Download link.
As for getting rid of the start menu, you can use Start Killer for that job.
