Just drag and drop on the bookmark bar?

That only lets you edit that specific bookmark. Going into the other bookmarks folder does let you lig bits around but it's not a very neat system.

This is what I see, when I click star, then edit:
That doesn't look like I can move anything around. [strike]I can put folders inside of folders apparently, but[/strike] my individual bookmarks can't be edited. I was looking for something that worked like FF's "Organize Bookmarks" menu item.
Zell's drag-n-drop solution was the closest what I was looking for. Took way too long to move everything up 1 level though. I had to move each folder/bookmark one at a time.
Speaking of bookmarks, I wonder why some of the Google toolbar features aren't integrated. I liked having a online bookmark profile, instant access to google translate, and autofill. While I'm sure this is counter to the minimalist design of Chrome, I think that there would be some way to make these features subtle and intuitive in the next version.
Edit: Also, I noticed that animated gifs render slower than firefox. Not that this is a big issue, but it might make forum browsing somewhat more annoying.
I'm running around with this now. It's pretty cool so far, except for one thing:
One of my favourite websites, Deezer.com, causes Chrome to give a long and horrible shudder as it grinds to a halt. Every. Single. Time. It's a pain in the ass, because I always have Deezer open with music on in the background.
I'm going to keep running Chrome for a while, but Firefox isn't going anywhere. At the very least I'll have it open in the background so I can listen to music.
I don't think they easily allow you to subscribe to RSS feeds to Google Reader either, it's like the entire browser doesn't know RSS exists.
I was able to add feeds to google reader pretty easily, and the reader runs quite well in Chrome.

I'm posting from Chrome now. I really like the speed and the appearance. I'm gonna play around with it for the next few days and see if I like it better than FireFox.
Ehh, so far my impressions are that while it may render faster than opera, it doesn't seem to make any noticeable difference in real world usage, and in exchange for that faster rendering it gets rid of all the customizability and advanced options i'm used to (and like) having. It's really striking me as a web browser for people who don't know how to use web browsers.
It's nice, but it has very little customizability and configuration. Tab management is nice, but I'd like to see excess tabs be split into two rows so I can fully see all my tabs. It's nice, though. Doesn't have nearly as many tab management abilities as Avant browser, though.

I assume you're doing that with simply copy and paste as I can find no indication of RSS support in the browser.
talosfalcon: yeah, it lacks customizability, but it makes up for that in amount of features alone.
but..the only feature it has that other browsers don't is seperate processes for tabs. Since I think I may have had a web 2.0 site crash my entire browser once, maybe and its highly probable it'll be in every browser soon since it's already in the IE8 beta it just doesn't strike me as a good reason to use chrome by itself.
It needs mouse gestures. Opera got it right when it built it in and it doesn't activate until you try to use one. Chrome should have this.
I don't think this could take the place of Firefox at work right now, but (once they have a mac version) it could possibly at home as long as they make it look as nice as it does in Vista.

Oh good, people like it. Everything should be in default.dll located at C:\<App Data>\<Username>\Local Settings\Application Data\Google\Chrome\Application\0.2.149.27\Themes
Next you use a resource hacker to extract the PNGs. (I ended up using Resource Tuner to extract it, 'cause it was simpler than using Resource Hacker.)
The PNGs are located in the BINDATA folder, using Resource Tuner, you just right click the folder and select "Save Multiple Resources at Once"
Then comes the hard part: Finding what graphics are for what. I've already done some of that, but if you guys are going to change more things, I hope you'll fill in what you get...

Save as default.dll, test, share and enjoy.
Here is my black theme, you'll have to rename it to default.dll to get it to work (don't forget to backup your own )
Does anyone else find that it uses a lot more cpu cycles than either IE or FF when idling? I have google, PA, CNN, and BBC open in IE, FF and Chrome and both FF and IE idle with 0-2% cpu while a single Chrome process fluctuates between 5-13%. I'm pretty sure the process that's using cpu is the additional process that it creates at startup, but the cpu use seems to be linked to both cnn and bbc. Anyway regardless of why it happens its unacceptable as I always leave a browser open in the background.
edit: Also with my extremely limited tests, it seems that Chrome uses more memory than FF does.
I REALLY like this thing, but I sure hope Google will add autoscroll, bookmark synchronization and full page zoom. That would make the browser so awesome I would totally ignore that ugly looking skin.

Most of my Firefox addons were to make it look more like the rest of Aero.
I only miss adblock plus and fission.
Chrome will become my new default, in all likelihood.
Yeah... what I need are adblock, autoscroll, del.icio.us support/sync and if I could move the tabs to the bottom of the GUI rather than the top, that'd be super, too.
Does anyone else see a black square on the bottom right of their forms? (Like the Quick Reply box)
[edit] The black square appears for me regardless of the theme I'm using ... hoping someone else can confirm/deny this

That's the thing. I thought the whole point was that something like that would be impossible, because at most a single tab would be affected.
But nope, the whole thing grinds to a halt, before finally giving up and reporting that Shockwave Flash isn't working. Very annoying.
All my other complaints aside i've found I just can't function in a browser without autoscroll and mouse gestures, it feels almost like going from a 5 button mouse to a one button mouse, or browsing without a keyboard. So clunky.
I have some minor annoyances with Chrome. Whenever I click a link to go to a specific point on a site (such as the "go to first new post" function here on the forums) the view will go a bit farther down than it's supposed to.
Also, clicking the mouse wheel does nothing, which is something I often use to scroll in IE.
I finally got it downloaded. This is so goddamn cool.
Now if someone puts in AdBlock, Stylish, and Greasemonkey I'll be a very happy boy.
That and I have an issue where I have my Taskbar set to autohide and for some reason the browser won't let the taskbar pop up when it's full screen.
Oh wait, now it's working. Must just be a buggy Beta thing.
Anybody noticed when you click the reply button on the forums you can resize the textbox you type into? I don't seem to have that feature on Firefox 3 or IE7.
So when I click the "Accept and Install" button, is it supposed to download the browser, or just sit there doing nothing? Cause if it is supposed to sit there and do nothing, well then, I guess it's working beautifully.

Is there a way to disable the spell checker? I downloaded the Danish version (it's amazing how many languages it's available in) and the spell checker is set to Danish, which is annoying when typing in English.

Try removing/renaming the dictionaries in the folder? I'm not in my room right now so I don't remember the folder structure... but it should be somewhere around C:\<App Data>\<Username>\Local Settings\Application Data\Google\Chrome\ :P

How did you get it to do that? I've been playing with it for a while and haven't seen anything that will let me do that.
BTW; I'm falling in love with this thing. It doesn't have a great feature set but it is all kinds of fast.
If I recall from the Chrome comic, you can do omnibar searches once you visit a site that has a search bar like so:
1. Do a search from a searchbar of a website (wikipedia, amazon, etc.)
2. The next time you open up a new tab, type the first letter of the site (w for wiki, a for amazon), then press the tab key.
3. The omnibar will autofill with "Search <site name>:", along with a dropdown for any other site with a similar starting letter.
